Introduction
Today, education is undergoing a total transformation due to external factors. The usual format of face-to-face education is qualitatively beginning to replace the online form. Often, individual students need a unique approach, which is why it is essential to develop and analyze the approaches to learning that are currently available. It is crucial to understand that many teaching methods are outdated and need significant reorganization. Such a reorganization often focuses on a separate problem that arises in a group of students, making it easier for the teacher to develop a new teaching method.
Discussion
The main research problem in the article by DeCapua et al. is the implementation of alternative pedagogy in the educational process. Thus, the teacher in the research tried to develop a new teaching style and approach to presenting the required material. This way of transformation was primarily caused by a social problem that could avoid by developing the right education plan (DeCapua et al., 2018). In particular, the research problem mainly focuses on poorly educated people who, with the help of a teacher, could learn English despite their social and cultural background.
Another significant problem of the scientific paper by DeCapua et al. is finding the right approach to certain social groups. At the same time, that great attention is paid to the plan’s development and the new pedagogical approach to learning (DeCapua et al., 2018). In this case, the woman tried to take into account all the cultural characteristics of the group she took into training by trying to teach them about their cultural beliefs. In particular, that did not take social status into account, but it is worth emphasizing that mainly people in the group were of frankly low social rate.
The main goal of the research was to ensure that the developed learning technology could qualitatively help people who will learn. For this, a study analyzed all possible approaches (DeCapua et al., 2018). Accordingly, specific methods have been used that best allow us to understand how to do research—applying the case studies made it possible to reveal the main stages that should pass to obtain a positive result (DeCapua et al., 2018). In particular, using the Mutually Adaptive Learning Paradigm (MALP) allowed teacher Nan to qualitatively apply all the collected materials in the right direction and start implementing her plan from scratch.
An important method mentioned in researching and developing a specific type of education was using an emotional component. The sampling included culturally and linguistically diverse learners with limited or interrupted formal education (DeCapua et al., 2018). That approach manifested in applying a separate learning experience and its analysis (DeCapua et al., 2018). Such a method made it possible to understand which ways of thinking should be used in individual cases and how to develop the possibility of high-quality and fast reviews for the rest of the group members. The result of a method should be a general discussion of the student’s progress and the discovery of new ways to help with learning (DeCapua et al., 2018). In this way, teacher Nan tried to observe each student understands how such pedagogy affects a person’s learning style.
The result of the research was that that investigated the transformation, the example of one person. In particular, the main result was that this method gave new ideas for developing such an idea further (DeCapua et al., 2018). Specifically, that will apply transformational knowledge to beginning teachers starting their journey in the teaching staff. This teaching method, new pedagogy, is easy to use if the teacher’s entire educational and work plan is developed correctly.
Culturally sensitive teaching is the central assumption of the researcher as a way to solve the problem. For the researcher, teachers need to understand that cultural beliefs can often play a key role in how a person learns (DeCapua et al., 2018). Therefore, individuals must consider their cultural environment and how it affects them. This assumption was evident since Nan, the teacher, had a somewhat biased attitude toward certain things in education because she could not do her job well (DeCapua et al., 2018). Thus, assumptions about a particular bias from one’s cultural beliefs were often confirmed and became the basis of transformation.
It is worth saying that in practice, the information from the study can be effective if all the given examples are used correctly. To properly train a particular specialist, it is necessary to follow specific rules. Therefore, to have a positive result, feedback must be used in teacher training, which can bring awareness and correct the person. In addition, it is essential to hold a certain number of conversations where there is a clear explanation of the main aspects of the work and how to avoid beliefs and bring cultural vision into the learning and teaching process. That is, conducting separate courses for the teacher will be a critical moment allowing a person to learn many new things.
Conclusion
In conclusion, the introduction of innovative ideas into the learning process is of particular value. Thus, it can provide increased accessibility for many groups of students who have struggles in this process. Transformational pedagogy is an essential stage in changing education. Since education is a vital part of life, teachers need to be able to deliver information efficiently and effectively. In particular, a pedagogy will transform education; if it gathers a separate part of people and correctly applies all the research results, then it can be assumed that there will be some changes in education.
