Describing a picture is quite a complicated process because, despite its content, each person sees it differently. Each image is unique, and everyone sees it differently. Therefore, it is necessary to take into account the unique characteristics and knowledge of each person at the time of describing the image because they are displayed differently at the time of writing. Despite the quality of the image, each one holds a great deal of information and detail not available to everyone who looks at it. It is essential to understand that when writing work like this, it is necessary to consider not only what is depicted but the emotions it evokes, as this, too, is an essential part of any description of not only the image but the work that deals with creativity (Pawlak). Every writer, artist, and musician focus not only on physically depicting an event or place but how it might be perceived by the viewer or listener when writing their work. Thus, it is essential to calculate what the author has put into their work. This is what this paper will focus on, as well as an analysis of the techniques that the author has incorporated into his work.
Regarding the image provided, it seems apparent that it depicts a university campus. This is clear from the people expressed in it, as well as the type of building that corresponds to the stereotypical understanding of a college campus. From the image, it isn’t easy to describe the emotions of the students, as its quality does not allow us to notice this detail. However, judging by the colors depicted on it, one can conclude that the author emphasized the colorfulness of the place. The picture is overflowing with red and green, and there are almost no dark colors, indicating that the author is emphasizing the brightness of student life and how bright it is. In addition, an important detail is a fact that all the students are involved in some process. They communicate, listen to the audio, and go to class. All of this creates a picture of not only fun life but shows the discipline of learning and the process of being involved in the complexities of student life.
Looking at this image, you can catch mixed emotions. It brings back memories from a student’s life and how those years were spent. They are expressed differently by everyone, as everyone’s life is different. This is the purpose of this image, as it has many interpretations and meanings. As mentioned earlier, each person sees images differently. However, everyone will remember how they spent their years at university and what emotions they experienced when they crossed the threshold of a new place. It is an indescribable experience, as it signifies a new life, new loved ones, and opportunities in the future. Everyone who has studied at an institution of higher learning remembers with warmth the time they spent there. This image is a reminder of the values that everyone received during their studies, how new things were discovered, and how life was changed. So even though the quality of this image has a deeper meaning than showing the building in bright colors. It evokes emotion, as any art should.
On the other hand, however, it is necessary to consider all sides of what the image evokes. The first thing to discuss is that this image shows the stereotyping of public opinion. Looking at it, one could immediately understand that it depicts a campus, which means that it does not bring anything new to the world of visual art. Obviously, not every drawing should stand out, but this example looks too simple and unremarkable. It has emotional value, but the artistic execution is far from top-notch. It is able to touch a person but not bring aesthetic pleasure to the viewer. There are many more advanced drawing techniques that could be applied to this drawing. Then it could be done on a more acceptable level and satisfy not only emotional but artistic needs.
In general, one can understand that this image is not only fine art but a symbol. In many ways, this will be tied not only to the use of artistic methods to everyone’s emotional attachment. All people think differently, accordingly, and can take this image in their own way. For many students, the years were pleasant, but there are people who may have negative feelings about it, so it’s essential to keep in mind that interpretations can vary drastically from person to person. When interpreting any image, it’s vital to consider the history and knowledge of everyone who looks at it because opinions vary, as do perceptual methods. In this regard, one might conclude that images can never be what they seem at first glance. They are everyone’s personal history, experiences, and events that have happened or could have happened. Even a child’s drawing can be filled with meaning and distinctions that make it unique to all and unlike others. An image is not just a sketch on paper but a meaning that lies in every kind of paint and stroke, which can be interpreted in its own way.
