The Via Classification Test can establish one’s strengths, which are critical to communication in society. Understanding one’s strengths can help increase confidence and reduce stress (McGrath & Brown, 2020). Using your best qualities can make life much easier because they indicate truly effective personality traits (Robson-Kelley, 2022). The VIA Survey is a tool from the practice of positive psychology that assesses the most important aspects of the character (Littman-Ovadia et al., 2021). The results of this test – the importance distribution of the 24 qualities – allow you to guide people and push yourself to be better.

Until I took the test, I thought I would get quite specific results. I assumed that love, creativity, and honesty would be at the top of the list. Furthermore, I felt that hope and perseverance would be my strengths. However, the results showed otherwise, and I am surprised by them! So, in the first two places are qualities from the category of wisdom – love of learning and judgment. I love to learn and seek out new information, but I wouldn’t even think of it as my strongest trait. Nevertheless, it is a quality correlated with judgment, and I am glad they are represented at the top.

I am surprised by the results in the bottom top: I would never have thought I was not brave enough and could not be disciplined. Perhaps I lack humor, but I think I can build it up with social intelligence. I learned from this test that my perceptions of myself will not always correlate with how psychologists see me. I think my distribution of virtues is an opportunity to get to know myself better and dive into a deeper understanding of my character traits.
