Introduction
The Saudi Arabian leader aligns with SV2030 by emphasizing the countrys strengths and improving three strategic objectives: an ambitious nation, a vibrant society, and a thriving economy. The Saudi Arabian Crown Prince aligns with the leadership conceptions and with SV2030. Firstly, he uses his position to promote active, positive changes in the country by using its strengths, such as location and resources (Crown Prince Message, n.d d.). Secondly, the leader encourages progress in three strategic objectives. For instance, the Prince provided opportunities to build education according to market needs (Crown Prince Message, n. d.). Lastly, the KSA delivers for the citizens of Saudi Arabia a future full of opportunities and will be supported by a strong economy. Thus, the Crown Prince aligns with SV2030 by supporting and developing its ideas and improving the future of the citizens of a country.
French and Raven’s Bases of Power, which were utilized
The Saudi Arabian leader has used four bases of power by Raven and French due to his position and activity. French and Ravens Bases of Power consist of referent power, reward power, expert power, legitimate power, and coercive power (Kovach, 2020). Firstly, the KSA leader uses his legitimate power because he is the King of the country and each citizen should respect and listen to his opinion. Secondly, the leader used reward power because it was promised that Saudi Arabia would achieve its ambitions if different reforms and improvements were made. Thirdly, the KSA leader is an expert in politics, so he used his knowledge to develop Saudi Arabia by creating many foundations. Lastly, the KSA leader uses referent power and makes himself more attractive to people. For instance, he says “we” instead of “I” or “you” to emphasize that each person in the country influences its development (Crown Prince Message, n. d.). Therefore, the KSA leader used four bases of power to achieve success and improve the country.
Leader versus Manager: differences
The Saudi Arabian Crown Prince is regarded as a leader and not a manager because he produces changes and movements in the country. There are a couple of similarities between leadership and management. Firstly, both terms include working with people and organizing their work correctly (Northouse, 2022). Secondly, management aimed to achieve goals effectively, as did leadership. In addition, many leadership functions are similar to management ones. However, the meaning of these two terms has many differences. Management is mostly about organizing peoples activities properly and reducing chaos. Management aims to provide a stable and efficient working environment, whereas the primary goal of leadership is to bring prosperity and produce movements and changes (Northouse, 2022). KSA is a leader in this case because he aimed to bring changes and development into the country. Hence, KSA is a leader, not a management, because of the activities and functions he is implementing.
The Crown Prince’s success with respect to Saudi Vision 2030
The KSA leader is booming due to the effectiveness of his initiatives and citizens’ support. The leader emphasized that people are the most important wealth of the country, not oil, gold, or other resources (Crown Prince Message, n. d.). Most of the Crown Princes success with respect to the Saudi Vision 2030 is realizing what goals should be achieved to improve the country’s development. The leader strongly believes that tireless work will create a better future for the next generations in Saudi Arabia (Crown Prince Message, n.d d.).
Conclusion
KSA focuses on long-term goals, and this will bring him success. In addition, it was mentioned that a wide range of earlier implemented programs was successful, which encourages further development of the country. For instance, from the beginning of the initiative, the level of happiness increased among citizens, which shows one of the greatest successes of KSA activity (Crown Prince Message, n. d.). Thus, the Saudi Arabian leader has already implemented successful programs with respect to Saudi Vision 2030 and has many more ideas to realize.
