The question “does the end justify the means?” has been asked on many occasions when an individual is faced with a tough decision. The end indeed justifies the means when intended goals, as well as the means used to achieve them, are noble. A factor that should be considered when carrying out an action that might be deemed wrong is morality. The morality of an action, outcome and a person whether or not it is right or wrong should be considered. Can making profits, ensuring that business projections are achieved and earning commissions be considered good and moral outcomes?

A consequentialist view of the outcome of an action would be judgmental for a conduct even if it is right or wrong. It is obvious that the goal of any action for a business enterprise to make a profit. When we consider Mohist consequentialism notion from the ethical point of view, it is evident that actions that contribute to business growth should supersede any other notion. Hindrances and obstacles, as well as threats, should not stand in the way of making gains, advancing social stability and accelerating business growth.

As the assistant of the president of UNIVEST, understanding the current poor situation of the business and the need for commissions will be crucial in exerting more effort, increasing the need for network with funding bodies, and generating creativity. The latter will culminate in high levels of productivity and profitability. Linking the acquired funds from organizations to improve UNIVEST’s sales performance is one of the best strategies that can be used to bridge the current financial gap in the organization. Due to the nature of the requirements, understanding the effects will be necessary in ensuring that the expected results are realized.

Also, I will pursue the services of Righteous Freedom Choice and engage Mr. Radcliff most appropriately. As more funds flow into a business, expedited growth and benefits will follow. The outcome, in this case, will be good for the business if kept transparent and eventually, it will outweigh any negativity. This stance will be driven by interest in the growth of the business and an understanding of the fears and consequences involved. In this case, interest will take precedence.

The ability to effectively articulate high levels of professional ethics in business is the key determinant of the capacity of an organization to trace its missions, achieve the set visions, and establish the best cultures that anchor high levels of productivity and profitability. Therefore, key questions related to the professional ethics include:

  • How far should business ethics be employed?
  • How should professional ethics be employed to achieve the highest level of productivity?

Ethical dilemmas arise when one has no surety on whether the decisions taken are right or wrong. It is therefore important for an individual to undertake intrinsic assessment of a decision. In my view, the sole purpose of any business is to make a profit. If this cardinal rule is followed, it is only the activities that support the shareholders’ huge profit margins that should be encouraged. However, business ethics scholars hold the opinion that every business should adhere to the laid down and acceptable ethical procedure to flourish. Laws against dealing with RFC are a side constraint. If breaking such laws can indeed produce better results, then such a direction should be followed.
