In the modern world, the UAE is one of the richest states with high rates of development of its infrastructure. Moreover, it is known for good conditions for its citizens and ideal service. With this in mind, it is possible to analyze its health care system to see the peculiarities of its functioning. First of all, it should be said that the UAE health care system is one of the fastest-growing systems of this kind in the Middle East. It is also possible to say that the government plays a central role in the process of development of this very system as it promotes its efficient functioning and evolution. However, the involvement of a private sector is also stimulated by the government of the UAE. There are public and private organizations in the UAE that serve as the basis for all health care systems. The country has high standard medical facilities which allow a citizen to have a modern and thorough examination. There are about 40 public hospitals in the UAE which are created in terms of a special plan which supposes the creation of a great number of trauma centers, medical centers, and other facilities in all emirates. However, they’re still a great need for public facilities as being quite new, public sector is not developed enough to fulfill all the existing needs of the population. That is why the private sector is more developed and it suggests its services for citizens and foreigners. Comparing the number of private and public health care organizations, it is possible to say, that the private sector dominates the health care system of the UAE. There is a great number of different private hospitals and medical centers which suggest their services to citizens of the country. Dubai Healthcare city is a great private medical center that offers a great number of different procedures and outstanding private health care. Moreover, there are special courses whose main aim is to increase the level of skills of medical staff. With this in mind, it is possible to say that the health care system of the UAE is characterized by a highly developed private sector and a comparatively weak public one. However, the public sector is now intensively developing and a great number of new facilities are created. The thing is, that nowadays citizens of the UAE very often have to take trips to other countries to get qualified medical services. That is why the further development of the public sector is planned by the government of the UAE to fulfill the needs of the population. Moreover, health care organizations from different countries of the world are involved in the process of improving this system.
Having compared two sectors of the UAE health care system, it is possible to say that nowadays the private sector is more developed and obtains a greater number of different facilities. However, the government of the UAE promotes the development of the public sector creating new medical centers and involving specialists from a great number of different countries.
