Introduction
Firs of all it is necessary to mention that the issues of violence may be regarded as the widely spread and powerful factors of forming the contemporary community. Originally, violence is closely linked to aggression, which is regarded as the intentional causing of pain or harm. Aggression is available in media, in sports, in everyday life, consequently, the young generations (at least part of them) are raised in aggressive sphere, aggressive community.
Discussion
As for the violence in the community where we live, it is necessary to mention that the community is rather violent. Originally, the health related values of violence are regarded to be extensive. Prothrow-Stith and Spivak (2004) state the following: “Victims of domestic violence show up throughout the health care system with such symptoms as anxiety, depression, chemical dependency, chronic headaches, abdominal pains, joint pains, muscle aches, complaints of sexual dysfunction, sleeping and eating disorders, and suicide attempts. Domestic violence results in 100,000 days of hospitalization, almost 30,000 emergency department visits, and nearly 40,000 visits to physicians each year in the United States, with estimated medical costs ranging up to $10 billion annually.” Similarly, the values of mental health of of the victims of the violent actions is regarded to be even higher. It is stated in Sweatt (2002) that the yearly rates of mental violence victims is up to 1.5 million in the United States of America. The emotional harm of the random victims is generally immeasurable, while the harm of the emotional shocks of the employees is estimated $40 billion per year.
It is originally stated in Tobin (2003) that while there are lots of bullies, gangs, weapons, and substance abuse all contribute to the fear experienced by many of today’s students, violence in America’s neighborhoods and communities cannot be overlooked. Nevertheless there is clear and generalized fear of violence among average citizens. It is stated that the researches, aimed at defining the rates of violence all over the world classify the USA as one of the most violent countries of the world, where domestic violence is widely spread (Rosenthal, 2004).
Taking into consideration the life expectancy data and the levels of poverty, it should be stated that it sounds rather impressive in the context of violence. The analyzed area may was divided into sections based on socioeconomic class. The statistics show, that the differences in the levels of life expectancy (highest and lowest classes) reached the following numbers: 9 years for white males, 7 years for white females, and nearly 10 years for nonwhites of both sexes.
The poverty measure, in the light of the fact of violence and crime levels is the economic basis of all the crimes. Performed in the area. Originally, there are no universally accepted single measure, that is why, there is strong necessity to emphasize that there is the expense of international comparability. Poverty is often regarded as the reason of forced violence and forced crime.
Conclusion
Finally, it is necessary to mention that the very fact of the possibility of being subjected to aggressive treatment may cause essential harm, let alone the violence and aggression in the community itself. Taking into account the deep roots of aggression in the society it should be stated that there is strong necessity of solving these issues with the regard of social problems.
