Summary
The university volleyball group is perfect for studying. The volleyball club is an organization in which sports students participate, for whom the component of competitions and pop is essential. The group meets twice a week to practice. This group is open, but only students who know how to play volleyball can join. Therefore, the group’s composition is relatively stable and does not change for a long time. The group conducts training to participate in the annual competitions for the university cup.
Research Question
Does the method of admission to the group affect the diversity in the group?

Other researchers, Lee & Cunningham, have studied group diversity and how it affects sports teams. Both researchers are associated with sports organizations, so their opinions can be considered competent. Lee works at the Center for Sport Management Research at Wilkes University. Cunningham is a researcher at the Laboratory for Diversity in Sport at Texas A&M University. They concluded that diversity in sports groups positively affects their final performance. The researchers could draw this conclusion by observing many sports groups at different universities.

Mae Noble, Bruce Doran, and Jamie Pittock are professors at the Fenner School of Environment and Society in Australia. David Harasti is a Research Fellow at the New South Wales Department of Primary Industries. The authors investigated the diversity in sports groups using the example of sea swimming teams. The work helped to find out that diversity contributes to eliminating social conflicts in the team and unites the group’s spirit. In addition, it was found that the main stakeholders of diversity are those who participate in the group because they receive the most benefits.
Saad, M. E. (2022). Investigating Gender Diversity, Equity, Inclusivity, and Students’ Experiences Within Collegiate Team-Based Learning Environments. Web.
Literary sources are an essential aspect of studying the problems of diversity in any social group. Marissa Saad is a Ph.D. student at the University of North Dakota and has researched gender diversity and inclusion in college teams. Her research aims to improve the experience of different groups of students in participating in different educational institution activities. She found that a lack of diversity, equity, and inclusion negatively affects student learning outcomes.
Hypothesis
If there are strict criteria for admission to the group related to sports opportunities, this negatively affects the group’s diversity.
Proposed Research Method
It is necessary to ask the volleyball team manager for a list of all the players who have joined the team in the last five years, as well as records of the results of their games. This data should be analyzed and studied to find out how the team’s diversity correlates with the team’s performance. It is worth calculating how diverse a volleyball team is by analyzing minorities, racial, religious, and sexual.
