Future of Patient Engagement
Through governments, health care administrators, and taxpayers looking for ways to inform better and empower patients, there must be agreement on clear goals and an optimal strategy. These efforts aim to change patient behavior, so a systematic approach is needed to increase the effectiveness of interventions across institutions and reinforce their effectiveness. Programs at different system levels should be well coordinated and mutually reinforcing (Rahimi et al., 2019). The programs’ range and relationship must be tailored to the population and local context. Goals and strategies need to be clearly articulated so that everyone knows what to expect from the programs. It is impossible to develop a one-size-fits-all blueprint to make the program work equally well in every institution, but the following points and principles will be helpful.
Health Promotion with Social Media
Social networks and the Internet play an important role in today’s world. Various Internet platforms are an excellent means of PR campaigns for all spheres of human activity. Undoubtedly, healthy lifestyles and sports, despite their great interest in society, need to be promoted and popularized. Social networks undoubtedly make a significant contribution to the promotion of healthy lifestyles and sports (Schillinger et al., 2020). Do not forget that some of the information is false; if you want to link your life with sports, it is worth finding out more information from your friends, who will be able to recommend reliable pages on the Internet. For example, on Facebook, there is such a blog as Med2Med. It is a professional medical channel for practicing doctors, medical students, and nurses.
Facilities Management
It is essential that all of the above areas of internal quality control and safety of medical facilities cannot be effectively implemented without the active participation of nursing staff. In some areas, such as patient safety in the medical organization, organization of patient care, and prevention of bedsores and falls, the role of the nursing staff seems to be leading. In this regard, to organize the necessary work, it is advisable to order the head of the medical organization to create appropriate commissions (or permanent working groups), for example, on the organization of nursing care, from among the nursing staff to work in these areas (Li et al., 2020). It is essential to ensure that the physician’s committee regularly hears the heads of the commissions (groups) of nursing staff to ensure the coordination and continuity of facility management.
Outsource or Not
Outsourcing has become an easy and cost-effective method widely used in today’s digital world. Outsourcing is when a company or organization hands over work to an outside vendor. Any work process handled from outside the organization can be outsourced. This process is also known as offshore outsourcing. Offshore outsourcing allows an organization to obtain high-quality services at low operating costs. As an advantage, the organization reduces the cost of managing facilities. The hiring company does not need to pay for outsourced employee training, buy equipment and software, or spend on motivation support, bonuses, and benefits (Kavosi et al., 2018). In the absence of competition, the outsourcer may reduce the quality of services, and the organization will have no one to replace. Temporary staff can clean, remove waste, and supply various equipment and furniture to health care facilities. Any healthcare organization must find an outsourcing company with similar values and attitudes. I consider an essential criterion the availability of experience of the outsourcing company in the health care industry. It is necessary because this criterion guarantees the quality of the services provided and reduces their time.
