In this essay, three of these reasons are going to be discussed, which are: the technology, disrespect for elders, and the economy.
The Technology
The concept of the ordinary family has always considered such aspects as communication as a basis for supporting the relations of family members. The most important of these communications was the visit that takes place between family members, in which usually discussion of the daily matters and everyday problems were discussed. These visits help to strengthen the family bonds, in a way that children take care of parents and keep in touch with them. The same goes with other forms of kindred relations. In the era of modern technologies all the forms of direct physical communications were replaced by its electronic analogs. The short e-mails and instant messages (SMS) replaced the letters, and the phone calls replaced the usual visits.
Disrespect to Elders
All the main world religions always put the respect for elders as a basis for family prosperity. This respect is a chain that connects all the family members and it is inherited and transferred through generations. The disrespect of the elders is first step toward reformation of the family cell in which the connecting bounds are missed and the overall standard family image is distorted. In the old-time respect for elders was brought up very consecutively, decisively and competently. The disrespect for elders can also lead to missing any sort of authority in the minds of the kids which consequently leads to the deformation of the society.
The Economy
The Economy can be addressed as a major factor in the family changes in the modern world. The factors which the economy affects can take different directions. One direction is the birth rate, due to financial problems and the desire to achieve success to be having financial independence; young people delay the marriage until these goals are achieved. As a result and due to the same factor, the family is limited with one or two children, in contrast to older times when the family had many children. Another factor is the immigration, this immigration in search for better life and economic conditions can play a role in changing the family.
This immigration can be to another city or another country and in that case the contact with families can be lost, and the unity is missing. It could be assumed that a stable economic system in the country could keep the standard family representation unchanged.

The factors mentioned in this essay could be addressed as the result of the overall development. The family as a cell of the community is constantly changing and adapting through the time. Some of these factors are uncontrolled such as the economy, as the people always seek better living conditions. The technology factor is the price of the technology era, which uses this technology to save time. The factor of disrespecting the elders is a moral issue that should be taught since childhood to avoid its consequences in the future.
