All candidates have distinctive personality traits that could enable them to become successful candidates for the position. However, the choice was made in favor of Shallon, as she has the necessary management skills, leadership and education in the field. As other candidates, she does not have the opportunity to interact with the community as closely as, for example, Calvin, who is a member of the ethnic minority, or Gustavo, who belongs to the LGBTQ+ community. However, it can objectively assess the needs and requirements of all groups of the population with which public work is carried out. She can make effective decisions and be a good leader. In the case of other candidates, they may bring many new innovative ideas, but will likely focus on members of certain communities. Of all the candidates, Giva does not have a clear goal within the committee, making it a risky choice.
Strategic Planning Working Committee
The near term program should incorporate short educational courses on government support options available to participants. In the intermediate term program, community centers should be developed that can become a permanent meeting and interaction point for community members. In the longer term, it is necessary to interact with the government to provide various services to needy members of the community on an ongoing basis. It is necessary to stop helping the limited population, it is important to promote the initiative in other states as well. To promote the strategic priority, it is necessary to continue active interaction with government agencies to provide information and resource support to the population (Community Resource Bus, n.d). This direction will make the operation of the Community Resource Bus more efficient and meaningful in the long term.
