George M. Thomas – Contemporary Controls
Mr. George M. Thomas is current president of company called Contemporary Controls which manufactures industrial networking products. This Company under the direct stewardship of Mr. Thomas has operating bases in the United States, United Kingdom, Germany and China. He is a qualified and accomplished engineer himself and holds many prestigious positions in many engineering fields. He is certified under BSEE and MSEE degrees from Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT). He has also completed American Electronics Association and Stanford University Executive Institute in the field of high technology. He also holds directorships on the Board of companies, eminent among them being American Electronic Association, and finally, Management Association of Illinois.
Besides he is also holding memberships of IEEE, and Chairman of its Chicago Chapter, and also holds senior membership of the Institution, systems and Automation Society.
It is seen that with over 3 decades of electronic designing, developing and production techniques, along with the able and efficient leadership provided by its President, it is seen that the capability provided by the company could provide strategic and competitive solutions to vexatious problems of customers and has proved it self to be a major provider of needed solutions along the customers’ supply chain management systems. George Wendt – Chicago Rolled Metal Products
The story of George Wendt is not one of a characteristic entrepreneurship. He received a Ph.D in English Literature from Loyola University in 1981, and was engaged in academics, when he left it to take charge of his family business, Chicago Rolled Metal Products. This is a company started in year 1908 by the grandfather of present President. CMRP is a company that specialized in curving structural steels, sheets and plates. During 1992, it began operating the biggest structural roll in the Western Hemisphere, Big Bend, which is capable of curving 36” bend. (History of Chicago Mental Rolled Products).
During the year 1994, it began operating second massive structural thanks to the entrepreneurial abilities displayed by the team led by the President, George and other members of his competent team. It is indeed to the dedication, sincerity, vision and competitive spirit of Wendt that many challenging and almost impossible operating in this highly specialized field were taken and executed.
Under George’s dynamic leadership CMRP opened a brand new rolling unit in Kansas City to take better care of customers in different directions of US, with greater alacrity, direction and focus, thus rendering lowered freight costs.
During year 2006, CMRP operated more than 60 bending and rolling machines in two units while simultaneously indulging in cost savings and efficiency methods.
Through entrepreneurship, the business is able to provide customers with best quality products at affordable prices, ensuring delivery parameters and continually improving customer servicing through training and development of workforce. During 2008, the company commemorated its Golden Jubilee in business of curing and bending steel. It is seen that the business of bending and curving steel structural is a highly complex and delicate operations, since quality is of critical importance and continuous technical parameters have to be maintained.
The fact that CMRP has been highly successful in this difficult and complex business speaks volumes of the dedication, commitment and business acumen of the top management team, spearheaded by its President, George Wendt.
