Introduction
The study of art objects is essential for deepening our understanding of the various movements and general statements about art. For this analytical work, an online visit to the museum was chosen to examine two paintings by the Renaissance artist Albrecht Dürer. The paintings “Saint Michael Fighting the Dragon” and “Knight, Death, and the Devil” are a significant legacy of that time and are among the author’s most famous works. Using this example, one can examine all the details to create a particular subjective and objective opinion about art objects.
Objective Analysis
The first picture of Knight, Death, and the Devil, shown in Figure 1, shows a horseman in an undefined area with Death and the Devil behind him. This painting was made using the technique of chisel engraving on a copper plate (Yi 162). Thus, the author conveyed the depth of the image, which preserved the style of that time. The picture depicts the plot of an arduous journey in which the knight must undergo various tests. At the same time, Death and the Devil are always nearby, waiting for the traveler to make a mistake. This highlights the difficulties that stood in the way of people in medieval Germany.

The second picture shown in Figure 2 shows Archangel Michael fighting a dragon with the angels. This engraving was made by the author on wood, which is why the technique is more straightforward compared to the previous one (Dürer). The detail of the image is less in the lower and middle parts, but is just as dense in the central part of the plot. This engraving depicts several characters and is entirely different from the previously discussed painting. The piece of art illustrates the biblical story as part of a series of 12 engravings.

Subjective Analysis
The paintings in question by Albrecht Dürer are representative of Renaissance art, demonstrating the artist’s unique vision. Knight, Death, and the Devil seems to be a more compositionally interesting creation since it depicts the events taking place in more detail. The picture depicts the wanderings of a knight while also revealing dangers he is unaware of. At the same time, in the distance, in the background, one can see a castle, which is presumably the person’s goal.
At the same time, the second work, Saint Michael Fighting the Dragon, illustrates a religious plot, which is consistent with the simplicity of the image (Dürer, Saint Michael). Both works carry historical and artistic significance as they indicate the general mood of that period in the first case and a religious bias in the second. The combination of these elements in the author’s paintings is harmonious, emphasizing the artist’s overall style.
Conclusion
Albrecht Dürer left a significant legacy that is crucial for understanding the dynamics of medieval Europe and revealing the primary motives that people sought to convey. The artworks in question, “Knight, Death, and the Devil” and “Saint Michael Fighting the Dragon,” are among the author’s most significant works. Their value lies in the fact that they clearly demonstrate both aspects of life – the earthly and the sacred. The struggle of every person who follows their own path can be compared to how angels fight a dragon. The common motif of contrasting good and evil unites the two images.
