Introduction
Everyone has at least once in their life encountered the statement that leadership is something close to the concept of talent. A person capable of inspiring, motivating, and organizing a team is often associated with uniqueness and chosen people. However, until one tries to become a leader oneself, the answer as to whether leadership is degenerate or acquired is an open one.
Discussion
My personal experience is that with a high level of effort and personal transformation, any individual is capable of becoming a leader. This is due to the fact that this phenomenon presupposes the presence of specific qualities, which there is an opportunity to develop in the course of life. The latter include initiative, responsibility, resourcefulness, and sociability. The main dilemma of leadership lies in the amount of effort that needs to be put into acquiring specific skills and becoming a leader (Morgan 76). That said, temperament, which is an absolute constant, does not matter because leadership can have many styles (Desensi and Zoeller 62). For example, a humble leader is one who gives credit to others, encourages colleagues to help, and understands that the success of the company depends on all employees, not just the big boss. The ego is not developed overnight; the level of ego is usually part of the innate personality.
If reliability were an innate quality, people would surely find more trust in the world. Unfortunately, building trust is one of the hardest things to do, and it takes a long time to develop personal relationships, keep promises, and demonstrate that you are a man of your word. Moreover, an effective communicator clearly explains tasks, deadlines, and expectations while inspiring and motivating the workforce. Of course, some people are naturally more expressive or outgoing than others, but it takes time and practice to become a skilled communicator (Tycoon Success,42).
Conclusion
Thus, even the innate qualities listed above can be developed and improved. And even the most obscure foreign languages or the most difficult sections of mathematics can be given to anyone with the right approach and due diligence.
