The products are useful parts in automotive machinery such as motor vehicle and airplanes, among others. Moreover, Bay View Corporation has branches throughout the world. In essence, it monopolizes manufacturing and supply of framostats all over the globe. This is quite essential because the company has to deal with constant demand for their products. The chief executive officer therefore has a very significant role to play in this corporation.
For instance, he/she has to link with a team of managers that operate the branches all over the globe. In addition, the manager has to ensure that these products are made in their right shape and quality before supply. This cannot be done without prior knowledge of skills in production and use of the product. A chief executive officer (CEO) can be defined in relation to the type of organization. For instance, in corporations, the CEO is answerable to company’s board of directors.
On the other hand, in sole proprietorship, the CEO is answerable to him/herself. In this regard, CEOs should have vast knowledge of skills and qualities of leadership. The CEO is charged with responsibility of executing company’s strategic plans as well as policies. Others include understanding the number of branches, products, and their uses, possible opportunities, and work ethics, among others.
Trainees should have a good understanding of the company’s organizational structure. In fact, those who hope to be CEOs in the corporation must understand its internal structure, chain of command, tasks, and responsibilities of each individual as well group ethics. These are very significant in developing an individual’s managerial skills for betterment of the corporation.

This enables them to have a clear understanding of all levels of work in the corporation. Moreover, it helps develop an organizational culture in them. To become a CEO that manages a large multinational corporation such as Bay View, one needs to poses the following skills as well as be ready to improve on them. These can be divided into two main groups, those that are result oriented and individual skills. The latter include an individual’s ability, most of which are noticed during recruitment.
They include analytic intelligence, creativity, which should be developed during training. Trainees should possess urgency, openness, empathy, drive, and endurance, willingness to work in any given role as well as have high integrity. Others include ability to identify problems, interpersonal skills, neutrality, and ability to lead as well as have vision for the company, among others.
Result oriented skills include knowledge of customer and market, comprehensive knowledge of the technology, championing as well as articulation of vision, ability to strategies, and realize objectives. Still, other include identification, support and deployment of essential competencies, removal of obstacles, emphasis on profitability, ability to focus on short and long term basis, promotion of learning, and early identification of problems as well as their solutions, among others (Gibbons 1).
