I do not enjoy shopping much, either for food or clothing. I prefer buying clothes online. I cannot say I have any particular preferences for brands, but I have some favorite stores. I look for excellent service, high quality, and moderate prices. Quick delivery and discount system for loyal customers also matter. When shopping for food, I prefer big supermarkets. They provide the variety of goods and an opportunity to choose what I need. I usually shop once a week, and I have certain preferences in foods I buy, but I can also take some others in case my favorite ones are out of stock. There are two nice supermarkets in my neighborhood which provide excellent customer service and products of high quality.
The biggest value I get from my favorite stores includes goods of high quality. One of them has a department with farmer’s vegetables. I am a frequent visitor there. One of the decisive factors for choosing this or that store is its availability. I would not go to a place which is too far from my house. Another thing I value is a discount system. I suppose everyone likes buying something cheaper than expected. As for buying products, I prefer those brands which I already know. I can try something new on friends’ recommendation or after tastings at the store.
If I were a business owner or senior level manager, I would study the customers’ preferences and provide lower prices for the most popular goods. I would also organize special offers which change every week. It would keep customers interested. As for the lifetime value, I would introduce a system “the more and longer you buy – the bigger the discount is.” It would stimulate customers’ loyalty and thus build customer equity for the store or company.
