Problem Background
It is evident that most of the health issues need to be managed in the right way in order to realize a positive society. It is documented that most of the cancer treatments are much more expensive and they end up consuming a vast amount of family savings. Most people living and diagnosed with cancer are bound to suffer largely in their lives, therefore, there is a need to adopt tax-exempt hospitals which will aim at excluding excess hospital bills to the vulnerable. Some of these hospitals for instance the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. The non-profit organizations have also emanated in the view of easing the burden on cancer-affected individuals and families.
Community Needs Assessment
A Community is believed to encounter problems in different dimensions. Community problems can be classified into various categories. Some of the community challenges and problems that are faced include domestic violence, chronic diseases, and ethnic conflicts. In this case, the most pronounced community problems that need to be assessed are the menaces that are caused by cancer in Illinois State in America. Cancer is a chronic complication that affects the cell bodies of an individual and in the end leads to death if not managed at its early stages (Olney, 2013). Cancer is a health issue that has led to catastrophic impacts on both the economy and health issues. There are other social issues that tend to affect the wellness of the community. Insecurity is among the social problems affecting the community. It requires to be managed effectively for a positive thriving of the community and progression in the economic welfare.
The Root Causes of the Issues
Different issues emanate from diverse sources. For instance, social issues are caused by high rates of unemployment, gender inequalities, and superstitious beliefs among others. Health issues such as cancer diseases are caused by the lifestyle that we lead. Eating habits and lifestyle may end up being the main facilitators and contributors to cancer among a majority of children in Illinois State. In managing these complications, there are great challenges that are associated with them. One of the core challenges is the financial difficulties and lack of the relevant machinery in the hospitals. Most of the hospitals are not modernized; therefore, the patients end up suffering and eventually succumb to cancer illnesses. On the other hand, the social issues are a result of financial challenges and high rates of unemployment among the population of Illinois residents. To curb this menace, there is a need for the government to create employment and reduce the debt burden among the citizens so that money circulation will be achieved in the end.
Children with Cancer and Life-Threatening Diseases in Illinois
Like other parts of the world, children in Illinois are bound to suffer from cancer and other life-threatening diseases. It is the collective responsibility of the general public to ensure that these individuals are able to attain relevant and affordable treatment. Upon the entitlement of effective treatment and management, their wellness is likely to be achieved in the end. Children in Illinois need to achieve the best medical procedure in order to manage cancer and other medical complications. The affected individuals require a greater funding source; this will therefore help the affected discourse to live normally and healthy in the long run. Eventually, there is a need to manage these social and health issues for an effective running of the community in Illinois.
