This paper explains the influence of climate change on the demand and development of clean energy technologies and how clean energy technology is likely to impact the current global economic situation. In addition, the essay discusses the US position in the development of clean energy and the impact of this technology on the US economy.

The historical record of climate change reveals that climate undergoes natural variations that largely depend on the time scale. Moreover, it is vital to note that factors such as volcanic eruptions, changes in solar radiation as well as the massive industrial revolution of the modern age have been identified as major elements that worsen climate change.

The current climate changes being experienced in different parts of the world cannot be understood well by relying only on the natural causes. These researchers believe that warming can be understood well by exploring the various human activities. There is a high likelihood of attaining either success or failure in all the operations that entail the management and control of climate change menace.

For instance, the process of statistical analysis of data obtained from a scientific process may significantly determine the success rate of the end result since there are myriads of limitations that can be encountered. However, the introduction of climate change science has facilitated the creation of an interdisciplinary approach that can be used to gain a better understanding of the environment (Cahill & Durham, 2012).

The current views on climate change in the US mainly focus on the importance of developing effective measures of controlling climate change that has been consistently witnessed in the region for a very long time.

Quite a number of Americans have raised their concerns to the relevant authorities indicating their level of understanding together with the required urgency for addressing climate action. There are no views from Americans supporting climate change in the US because most of them believe that climate change is not helpful in any way (Dettinger, 2011).

The Americans believe that embarking on climate action has benefits to both the environment and the US economy. Failing to address climatic changes poses serious risks and threats to plant and animal species as well as the livelihoods of the people.

Based on these facts, it is important to create or develop strategies that can help deal with climate change. For example, there is a great need to pass or develop strong and effective federal legislations to control or limit the amount of carbon being emitted. Climate change crisis can also be addressed by reducing or eliminating carbon pollution.

Failing to do is an indication that people are not mindful of climate change implying that they should be prepared to face the consequences associated with global warming. Some of the laws that have been proposed on climate change include the establishment and advancement of policies for fighting changes in climate, engaging business in activities that reduce the amount of carbon being emitted, and teaching people effective ways of adapting to climate changes (Cayan, Tyree & Lacobellis, 2012).

The status of the clean energy technology industry can be linked to the current federal and state policies, and market dynamics that have accelerated the growth of clean energy technology. For example, the growth of clean energy technology in the US is largely due to the growth of electricity portfolio standards in the state.

The US has also offered numerous incentives (such as reduction of taxes) to increase the adoption of clean technology. The level of funding to build green houses has also increased and can be easily accessed from the nonprofit organizations, national or state levels, and also from the industry itself (Cahill & Durham, 2012).

In the current global economy, the impact of climate change is mostly felt in developing countries. The damage caused by climate change affects different sectors such as production in agriculture. This may negatively affects the economy of a given country. Climate change is also responsible for the increased number of deaths that result from poverty and malnutrition.

Over the last five years, the US economy has continued to decline. This has been aggravated by climate change. Despite the negative effects brought in by climate change, the US has made significant efforts in regulating emissions and also increasing the level of funding to encourage the generation of sustainable power (Cahill & Durham, 2012).

In recap, I believe that the development of clean energy technology will boost economic growth and provide solutions to some of the world’s economic problems. This is due to the fact that climate change poses serious risks and threats to species, places, and the livelihoods of the people.
