Introduction

Major unique differentiators that have contributed to an organizations success are the Belief, Action and Vision statements and a properly drafted statements can help to guide, motivate and inspire the employees. The paper provides constructs for these three statements, based on the case provided.

Belief Statement

The belief statement is designed to represent the values and culture that the organization has fostered and wishes to promote. Such statements are often called as shared beliefs and are designed to be shared or accepted by all employees. The statement is designed to help and individual to mature, grow in the selected role and prosper (Cook, 1990). The proposed belief statement would be:

We believe that human life has immeasurable value and that honoring human diversity enriches the individual and the community. W also believe that everyone deserves to be treated with respect and that every individual has the innate drive and unique capacity to learn. Our organization is founded on the belief that everyone has a right to an unrestricted pursuit of learning to the fullest of his or her personal capacity and we also fully endorse the truth that public education is essential to the survival of a free society”.

The above belief statement brings highlight the core values of the organization. Some organizations present the belief statement in the form of bullet points while other prefer a single paragraph. What emerges from the statement is that the organization places the greatest value for individuals and that if there is a diversity in the demography, the company welcomes the diversity. The second statement shows that the organization asserts that each individual should be treated with respect. The next statements assert that individuals should be allowed and encouraged to learn and enrich themselves (Cook 1990).

Action Statement

Marx (2006) has suggested that the action statement is a type of cry for action and is designed to motivate and guide the employees and individuals to act and participate. The action statement has a purpose and is affirmative in its mission. The statement has a definite purpose and plan and there may be a single or multiple goals. By restraining the statement to a single goal, the statement becomes more assertive. The proposed action statement for the organization is:

While excellence is achievable, parental involvement promotes the children’s success. Let us plan for to lead a healthy life that would free us from racism and build s community that would become strong with contributions from the members. Let us take the protection of the natural environment as our personal responsibility since all people have the right to live in a safe and orderly environment”.

The above action statement has multiple goals and they begin with getting parents more involved in the children’s development, building a sound community that is well supported by the members and that we protect the environment.

Vision Statement

According to Cook (Cook, 1990), the vision statement describe actions that would be realized a few years from now. The statement serves as a beacon for the organization and the employees and shows them the general direction in which the company has to grow. To a certain extent, the vision statement may not set down specific targets and goals and may not serve as the road map or have the details, but it provides the overall concepts and shows the path on which the company should tread. The proposed vision statement for the organization is:

“It is our vision to create a strong and healthy community where each member cooperates and contributes to the welfare of the members and where human life is valued beyond all measure. Our vision is to create a school where everyone is treated with respect and each individual regards protecting the environment as a personal responsibility.”
