Issue/Problem 1: Senior citizen loses 33 thousand dollars to a Bitcoin scam

- My Research Question: What have researchers learned about this scam and what can be done to avoid such situations in the future?
The most critical factor in this situation is the lack of digital literacy among the population. According to statistics, many such frauds become possible precisely because of careless actions of users when using the Internet or any social networking applications (Salehi et al., 2020). A person was deceived and performed all the operations recommended to her by the scammers, thus facilitating their work (Halliwell, 2022). This fraud is widespread in the Computer science industry, and much attention is paid to it.
As a way to combat these types of scams, it is recommended that additional topics related to digital literacy be included in any training programs. Equally important is the coverage of this information with examples of situations in the media, politicians, and influencers. In the case of the older generation, care and concern should be given to their relatives. If society tries to make its members with insufficient computer skills aware of the need to consult their relatives when making important decisions, the volume of such problems will decrease.
Issue/Problem 2: The Internet network trunk cable was exposed to attacks in Paris

- My Research Question: What have researchers learned about the reasons for that occurrence and what are the possible consequences?
After clarifying the circumstances, it became known that the attack was coordinated and organized. Thousands of people were left without communication and Internet access for the time it took to reconnect or physically repair the cables. The danger of such actions is that emergency response or notification services could be disrupted (Burgess, 2022). The problem is likewise of direct relevance to the computer science industry since the restoration of operations and the establishment of alternative interaction methods are partly performed by specialists in such professions.
However, the resulting damage to the entire volume of cables was not enough to disrupt the network seriously. In its globality, the Internet is a reasonably resilient construct (Burgess, 2022). The main paradox is that the network damage was observed in different places at the same time, so the coordination of these attacks using the same Internet is likely. The perpetrators have not yet been identified.
