Introduction

A do-type learning activity aims at putting the learned information into skills (Horton, 2006). It helps the learner to gain experience by putting his knowledge into practice. It might take forms such as making discovery using information, practicing using an experiment or making simulations among many others. In the world of technology and medicine, do-type activities are highly necessary (Goldstein, & Ford 2002). They equip students with the experience to handle patient and machines as expected. In such cases, a student is never competent without carrying out the activities needed for experience. For example, a doctor cannot carry out surgery on a patient without doing a surgical experiment on a rat or any other animal. This is because they need sufficient practice helping them reduce errors in their actual surgery. This ideology applies in the field of technology and other professional fields. In this discussion, we shall consider a do-type activity in the form of practice.
