In my opinion, cross-cultural interactions are an integral part of the college as there are plenty of students of different cultures learning together.
Social, political, and economic changes led to relocation and a mix of people. As a result of these processes, people have to overcome cultural barriers. They get acquainted with foreign cultures. In return, the host culture learns the new one. Likewise, a single person cannot exist in isolation from other people, a culture cannot function in isolation from other cultures nowadays.
Therefore, it is necessary to be open to the perception of other people’s cultural experiences and, at the same time, to be ready to share your own culture with other people. In other words, it is important to engage across differences. Consequently, as a country, I consider that Wake Forest has reached this point to provide appropriate conditions for the learning and communication of students of different cultures.
