“Daffodils” by Ted Hughes: Poem Analysis Essay

In the poem named “Daffodils,” Ted Hughes again writes about the memories with his beloved wife. He remembers how they used to pick the daffodils and regrets that they did not understand the preciousness of those moments back then. It is necessary to appreciate what one has, even if it is something simple and does not seem to be valuable. A day will come, and a person may realize that he or she does not have it anymore, and not looking expensive, it was the most significant value in one’s life. It is essential to appreciate simple moments, everyday joys, minutes with a loved person, and beauty in the little things. Another idea of this poem is that time and life are not endless. Unfortunately, people are like flowers – they come to this world to have a bright experience and then disappear forever. Hence, in order to be able to fully enjoy all the beauties and joys of this world, it is vital to remember that all people are only guests here, and their time to leave will come.
