Introduction

Managing conflicts in life requires a lot of skills and concepts that need to be in cooperated. This is based on the fact that we will encounter and have various conflicts as time goes by. Having conflicts in life should be considered natural because there is nobody who can avoid them in his/her life in any way. In this case, what matters is how we will solve and manage such conflicts for long term sustainability because they can not be allowed to persist (Kellett, 2007, p. 85).

There are various definitions and approaches to the whole aspect of conflicts and some things might be considered as minor disagreements. Conflicts in our daily lives should not be considered as big challenges but this should be an opportunity for us to manage a situation for the better.

As a matter of fact, such issues will only become a problem if they hinder our personal lives in any way. Everybody is expected to deal with various conflicts so that they do not alter their life but this depends on the prevailing situation (Mayer, 1992, p. 24). There are conflicts that might arise because of our general beliefs while others will arise as a result of personal issues. As far as this paper is concerned, dealing with kids on a daily basis is engrossed with a lot of conflicts that need to be solved. This is based on the fact that kids are still growing up meaning that they might be involved in different conflicts, challenges and disagreements as time goes by.

Discussion

Conflicts are common with kids and this becomes complex when you are dealing with many kids. Just by the fact that I have 68 kids implies there will be conflicts and behavioral challenges because their age ranges from 5-13 years. This is because they will not agree based on their age which is expected in a normal society. As far as conflicts that revolve around kids are concerned, they should be managed in a timely manner so that they do not affect their daily lives.

Dealing with kids on a daily basis does not imply that there will always be problems but there are occasions where they can interact well. Kids might not get along well and this is because of different attitudes that they might be having. In this case, kids should be taught how to manage different conflicts based on attitudes and character that they might portray (Bar-Siman-Tov, 2004, p. 37). As far as dealing with kids on a daily basis is concerned, establishing myself as an example will teach them basic conflict resolution skills. This will be done by establishing fair and clear rules that can apply to all of them for long term sustainability.

Behavior boundaries need to be established as far as dealing with kids on a daily basis is concerned. The age of these kids defines the level of engagement because it is quite obvious that they are at different stages of emotional development. Because I have four squads (of kids), it means that each group might be sharing some specific attitudes. Helping kids deal with various challenges can be quite frustrating because they require a lot of attention (Kellett, 2007, p. 47).

This therefore requires collaborative problem solving since people should know that kids lack skills and not motivation as it has been assumed. As far as collaborative problem solving with kids is concerned, there should be a lot of adaptability and flexibility. This means that there should be collaboration between me and the kids for effective coexistence.

Collaborative problem solving revolves around the management of behaviors that kids might portray. Kids need to be developed as far as their behavior is concerned and this can be very challenging when one is dealing with a large group. Children and kids in general have different behavioral and emotional challenges that should be sorted out for them to have a normal life. Interaction between kids and caregivers should be able to create some fundamental changes in their lives (Kellett, 2007, p. 73).

This is because many of these challenges can end up creating some developmental delay which is not good. As a matter of fact, kids should be free to develop in a good environment that is devoid of any conflicts or distractions. In the process, there should be fundamental changes in dealing with kids as time goes by. Because it is quite obvious that a group might have both boys and girls, there might be cases of oppositional defiant disorder.

Conclusion

Forgiveness and reconciliation play an important role in attitudes and behaviors which is a fact. In this case, these two aspects will play a role in shaping my attitudes and behaviors. Forgiveness and reconciliation are not substitutes meaning that each one of them will shape my way of relating with others. I know very well that we are supposed to forgive others for effective relationships because people might offend us based on their attitudes and characters.

In this case, my attitude towards others will be honed by effective forgiveness and reconciliation efforts. Clear changes in behavior and attitudes should be defined by a clear path because this is something that can not happen in a day (Bar-Siman-Tov, 2004, p. 60). As far as reconciliation is concerned, I can be able to relate with people on different occasions despite the fact that we might have disagreed before.

Our characters will always clash as time goes by and that is why reconciliation is very important for our general wellbeing. It should be known that intergroup attitudes can be horned and harnessed through effective reconciliation and forgiveness.

In this case, I can be able to overcome various tendencies that might threaten my ability to relate with others. All in all, the role of forgiveness and reconciliation in exacerbating conflicts can not be ignored in any way. I can be able to understand my attitudes and behavior though reconciliation and forgiveness based on the environment that we find ourselves in. We should be committed towards forgiving others and this develops good behavior that enhances our attitude (Mayer, 1992, p. 33). As a matter of fact, the role of social conditions in all these aspects can be evaluated.
