The topic of vaccination against COVID-19 is of great importance at the global level. There are different opinions about the effectiveness of vaccination against coronavirus, as well as about vaccination in general. Naturally, there is a potential danger that the vaccine will become a source of the disease since it contains a small dose of the virus with which the body will fight, creating a protective immunity. Nevertheless, immunization through the introduction of vaccines is compelling, which is proved by various studies conducted.
The advantage of the vaccine is that all of them are tested in clinical and laboratory conditions, which proves their effectiveness. Thus, the coronavirus vaccine will help prevent the appearance of the disease and its development and, in the future, will help to avoid possible complications. According to Bloomberg (2022), more than 12.7 billion doses of Covid-19 vaccines have been delivered worldwide, and in America, 613 million doses have been administered directly to people. That is, the coronavirus pandemic was announced in 2020, and people continue to be vaccinated to this day to prevent the appearance of the disease. Watson et al. (2022) it is claimed that 14.4 million deaths have been prevented thanks to the coronavirus vaccine. The effectiveness of other vaccines against diseases that have been discovered for a long time has also been proven, and the annual immunization of billions of people worldwide demonstrates its success and relevance.
In conclusion, vaccination is an effective and proven way to protect against coronavirus and several other diseases. People are actively vaccinated, so the body develops immunity and protects against more severe forms of the disease and subsequent possible complications. Due to the emergence of the new Covid-19 virus, vaccines that are in high demand among the world’s population have also been developed. This is because people believe in the effectiveness of clinical and laboratory studies and strive to protect themselves.
