One aspect that has had a role in the development of the nursing profession is the vast breakthroughs forward in technological capability that have taken place over the last several decades. Since the capabilities of therapies are developing in line with technological developments, it is crucial to remain up to date on the many techniques that have proven to be the most beneficial (Benton et al., 2019). Palliative care, patient education, preventative illness programs, and health maintenance care are some of the other services offered to patients in addition to the treatment provided for patients with acute and chronic diseases. In addition to meeting those demands, it also attends to the patient’s mental, emotional, and cultural requirements. This type of treatment is referred to as “comprehensive care.”
One of the key aims and goals of a nurse who is now enrolled in a nursing course is to identify the issue that the patient is currently dealing with and provide a solution to the concerns that the patient’s family members may have. In circumstances where the client’s life is in danger, the nurse must request that a member of the client’s family act as a liaison between the client and the medical personnel to acquire any relevant information about the patient. It is advantageous for a nurse to see a patient improve while caring for them; hence, it will be essential for nurses to examine and monitor their patients’ circumstances and to record any changes that occur in those situations (Benton et al., 2019). The nurse’s role is to make sure that a member of the patient’s family steps in when no medical practitioner is present at the patient’s residence and to check in on the patient at regular intervals to ascertain how well they are doing.
