Digital transformation has impacted every aspect of people’s existence and is often used in day-to-day activities. Therefore, creating a digital literacy curriculum where students are encouraged to use their analytical thinking abilities to understand the necessary standards of behavior in an online environment is essential for any learning institution. Digital literacy can be encouraged and promoted in an institution by creating a cloud-based solution for remote or virtual access to the institution’s lab software, creating the perfect digital access for students in an institution. Digital literacy can also be promoted by ensuring that students have access to digital technological equipment. Such equipment includes tablets, computers, reliable internet access, modern digital accessories, and modern software, enabling them to be fully exposed to the digital atmosphere and get an opportunity to learn more. To promote digital literacy in any institution, students should be encouraged to attend seminars and digital learning functions to help them learn how to use digital tools and learn more about technology.
Another trend that should be incorporated in an educational institution is the promotion of library media specialists since libraries are becoming more prevalent in technological centers that offer services to students and teachers. While accessing those services, one needs to have a technical understanding of how to access the internet and what responsibilities a librarian has (Palanivel, 2020). To ensure the success of library media specialists, an institution needs to ensure that there are policies that govern the smooth running of a library. Additionally, they should ensure the library is equipped with the right digital tools. Tools like fast internet and working computers help facilitate the integration of new technologies by the library media specialists in their work and help the students do their job comfortably. Creating ways to organize digital formats will aid library media specialists in functioning successfully.
