One of the major universities in the United States is Clark Atlanta University, located in Atlanta, Georgia. The university had a population of about 2436 students during 2021 fall (Zhang et al. n.d). These students got admissions to study varied courses ranging from music, education, engineering, and arts, among others. While the campus offers numerous courses, it is best known for teaching medical and technological disciplines. Nevertheless, today, the university is recognized for being the first campus to offer degree courses to students of African-American origin.

Clark Atlanta University has a population of approximately 3000 students, 24% male, and 76% female. Based on learners’ residence, 61% live in hostels owned by the institution, while 39% reside outside the school (Zhang et al. n.d). The enrolment percentages at Clark Atlanta University comprise 85.8% African-American students, 0.318% Hispanic, 0.159% White, 0.265% Native Americans, and 0.106% Asian countries (Zhang et al. n.d). The high population of African-American students expounds on its designation as a ‘Black University.’

Analysis
Components Present in the Institution
Clark Atlanta University is characterized by a supportive environment that offers relevant learning material to students and ensures that performance is maintained high. The school is fully equipped with any learning material that students might require to perform as expected. The other component present in the university environment is safety. Due to the escalating threats to learning institutions by terrorists, the school has put in place reliable measures to ensure the safety of its students (Comps, 2018). The campus also offers opportunities for the students to interact and connect with students from other major learning institutions, globally.
Conclusion
Nevertheless, Clark Atlanta University should ensure equality in gender among the students admitted to the school. The university has more females than males, which might affect learning negatively (Comps, 2018). Besides gender, Clark Atlanta University has more Blacks than other races, which denies the learners a chance to interact with students from different racial backgrounds. Generally, both racial and gender equality should also be achieved to promote interaction and effective learning.
