Introduction
The banking industry in Nigeria started during the colonial period with the start of colonial banks. Workers in any organization need a conducive environment to increase productivity and morale. This can be mainly achieved when the manager is well-equipped with proficient leadership skills. This essay presents book reviews that illustrate the impact of workers’ happiness and job satisfaction on employee performance in the Nigerian banking industry.
This document provides a case study in Nigeria to examine the relationship between job performance and stress among workers. It illustrates that stress affects the workers negatively: “As per the hypothesis, job stress had a negative relation with job performance” (Ajayi, 2018). Banks can help eliminate stress by redesigning work to make employees feel valued. It can be concluded that organizational policy changes give workers control over their work.
Work Environment and Employee Performance
The work environment has a positive influence on workers’ performance, which in turn contributes to career fulfillment. Bad working conditions restrict employees from portraying their capabilities. This leads to teamwork and the sharing of ideas, fostering creativity (Okikiola, 2021). New methods of production can emerge as members utilize the available technology. Economic progress will be achieved in the country, enabling it to address minor issues.
Employee Retention in the Banking Sector
Workers’ retention in a work environment, especially in a banking system, is highly influenced by the nature of the surrounding environment. The primary purpose of this document was to investigate the effects of job conditions on employees. The provision of a conducive work environment by Nigerian bank management will encourage worker satisfaction (Nwachukwu et al., 2022). In any nation, the banking industry is the financial pillar of economic development.
Workload, Health, and Productivity
Overworking workers in any setup reduces their productivity. This is due to the straining force they have to exert to achieve the outcomes. Work overload has been identified as an indicator of migraine by neurologists, which has a negative effect on their health and performance at work (Olaniyan & Okunade, 2021). In a typical setting, a worker needs to be assigned enough jobs to increase productivity. Job security in any working environment is essential to ensure safety and precautions.
Job Security and Workplace Safety
This document provided a study aimed at finding solutions to the human beings face in society in different settings. The study revealed that Job Security had a significant effect on job satisfaction (Chigbundu & Muda, 2022). Most importantly, in the banking setting, having enough security personnel is critical. In cases of insecurity, fear is instilled among workers, causing them to lose focus and resulting in low productivity. Therefore, sufficient measures should be taken to ensure that insurance companies compensate victims.
Leadership Traits and Organizational Productivity
Leaders play a critical role in steering any organization. Their traits and interaction modes with other workers will determine the productivity rate. Leaders should lead by example by demonstrating the virtues of integrity, as it plays a crucial role in motivating and enhancing the performance of workers (Albagawi, 2019).
The document’s purpose was to examine how leaders’ humility influences productivity. A cross-sectional research design was employed, utilizing questionnaires to gather critical information. This concluded that leaders’ humility directly influences workers’ productivity.
Conclusion
Specialization of the assigned task enables workers to develop proficient skills, which saves time and ensures a continuous production process. The increase in diversity among employees has prompted organizations to craft their human resource strategy with a focus on better diversity (Kirana et al., 2022). A management committee that agrees to diversify its workforce is more likely to succeed compared to one that ignores this approach. This research is relevant because it addresses the effect of workforce diversity, regardless of age and gender.
