Ashby’s Ideas in Creating an Entrepreneurial Culture

Productive work on creating an entrepreneurial culture is an essential condition for modern business because conducting appropriate communication in a team and a competent allocation of resources can become the foundation for the development of virtually any enterprise or company. Ashby in his speech notes the importance of such work and claims that “healthy cultures are created through open negotiation” (Creating an entrepreneurial culture 2013). According to him, it is essential to make a decision together and not to disregard the opinion of all team members (Creating an entrepreneurial culture 2013). Another thing that should be observed by successful entrepreneurs is that it is necessary to renew and refresh personal culture regularly. Working with colleagues and subordinates is a significantly important aspect of the work of any company, and determining the most optimal strategies for teamwork is one of the conditions for trust and reliable and fruitful cooperation. If members of a particular group oppose specific decisions, it can be a rather severe cause for the disruption of the work process. It was yet another fundamental Ashby’s statement.

Organizational Culture

According to Yildiz (2014, p. 43), for corporate entrepreneurship activities, organizational culture is an integral and essential component. The author notes that national culture is one of the aspects determining the type of behavior in the team and, as a consequence, the activity of the management of a particular company. Yildiz (2014, p. 40) remarks that the leadership of a specific enterprise should take into account the impact of organizational culture and assess the prospects for the development of the company, based on this knowledge. This author’s argument is probably one of the most essential and principal ideas of his work that aims at studying the impact of specific entrepreneurial activities on modern business.

Culture of Originality

The basis of Grant’s article is the idea of how to increase the chances of an organization to achieve a unique and successful strategy of work (2016, p. 89). According to the author, the advantage of the team is that working together to develop new ideas can be a significantly productive method of creating new perspectives and goals, which, in its turn, increases the range of opportunities for a specific company (Grant 2016, p. 90). Creative approach to work organization is one of the essential conditions for successful activity regarding competition and struggle for leadership. When taking into account this judgment, it can be noted that the organization of a particular enterprise strategy directly depends on the participation of employees in work, and the views and opinions of each member are quite crucial in the process of making joint decisions.

Thus, the critical conclusion of all the three works is that in the process of introducing new business strategies it is essential to take into account the characteristics of the collective as one of the leading sources of generation and development of new ideas. The entrepreneurial culture is impossible in the conditions of an authoritarian type of leadership when the managers of a particular enterprise do not take into account the characteristics and structure of the collective and consider this or that issue solely from a personal position. Consequently, the denser the relationship among employees is, the more likely a specific company to succeed and develop with significant growth and the opportunity to compete successfully in the market.
