Summary of the Ethics Awareness

The ethical awareness of a person is based on what is good. The most important job of ethics is to help people excel in morality. Two very important characteristics of an individual’s assessment are uprightness and integrity. In psychology the character is more important than the actions and virtue in this case is not an abstract principle. Well, intentions ultimately change a person to a good person, and ultimately his strive for being good pays the result. This has been discussed in the philosophy along with virtue theory.

One of the basic foundations of ethics is the ability to make moral judgments. It mostly depends on the ability to take decisive actions in complex situations. By developing practical wisdom and judgment can guide a person to ethical questions. The ethical style of a person ultimately guides a person to become a respected person with wisdom and integrity (Wenzel, 2003).

When ethical dilemmas occur, a person can offer a lot of ethical dilemmas like:

  1. Not everyone has similar values in society.
  2. The slow character developments in recent times are neglected in recent times. People in the age of Globalization look for ready solutions only.
  3. Inside any organization, they have their own set of rules, and this can contradict a person’s own set of beliefs.
  4. Sometimes the actions of the decision-makers can cause ethical complexities in a person.
  5. Sometimes the people in a group may not have the same ethical qualities and this can cause tension in the group in taking decisions.
  6. The value of the word “integrity” is becoming lesser every day.

Importance of Personal Ethics

Ethics is the science of the principles or morals of the behavior of a person. The most important thing in ethics is the distinction of good and bad in personal views. In short, the ethics of a person is the direct mirror of his conscience. The complexity of human minds is the main discussion point in this case. It is seen that a certain thing which is of no relevance in a part of the world has importance attached to it in the other part of the World.

The importance of personal ethics is of much more importance in the study of ethics than any other thing. For a mental physician, a commercial mindset is a huge setback, because he has to treat different character types and so has to have a liberal mindset, free from any implications. Only a humane attitude and compassionate mind can help a mentally misbalanced person to become socially acceptable (Cochran, 2009). Now, a decision of a person can have a profound effect on his family or the organization he works for. So, everyone has the responsibility to become good, only to maintain stability in all the aspects of their lives (Wenzel, 2003).

In the final analysis, we can say that ethics is nothing else but the study of human character in the light of moral principles and the actions conducted by the persons. In other words, we can describe ethics as the total body of obligations and duties that society needs from its members to stay well in all respects. In this light, we can say that values, morals, and ethics are bound together and perfect execution of all of them will only develop a society into a higher light.
