When conducting any kind of research professionals have to ensure that participants are protected, provided with all the needed information, and their life is not under any threat. However, when talking about these agents, people usually think about humans and their rights but forget about animals who also take part in various kinds of studies. I believe that animals should not be used for any kind of a biological research because they are as alive as humans, helpless, and should be protected. Even though it is suggested that animals play a significant role in developing different areas of science, their use should be prohibited or at least limited due to ethical and cultural concerns (Guillén, 2017). In my opinion, it is totally inhumane to use animals in biological research because their pain, physical as well as psychological suffering, and death are not worth any of the benefits that individuals receive.
Therefore, I have a strong belief that animals should be protected, and the government should establish strict laws concerning this problem. Vasbinder & Locke (2016), stated that despite the fact that the world is moving towards animal safety, there are many countries that still did not implement specific animal protection regimes. Consequently, these nations will have to take an example from those governments that created regulations and did a good job at enacting them and take action accordingly (Vasbinder & Locke, 2016). This strategy can not only save a big number of animals but also contribute to the establishment of a harmonized and ethical society. Individuals, professionals, scientists, and governments should never forget that animals also have physical and emotional feelings and want their rights to be respected.
