This article discusses the importance of fairness and efficiency of healthcare resources. During the COVID-19 global pandemic, the issue of rationing was raised due to the urgency of treatment. The movement was restricted and was risking the health of the concerned supply team since the virus was spread and contracted through social interaction. The health sector should consider restocking the medical facilities with enough treatment materials. This ensures safety and productivity, especially in times of emergency and pandemics. Medical practitioners can attend to patients professionally, building a healthy society since there is no struggle for treatment resources. This piece is helpful to my research focus since it teaches that a lack of enough or good medical equipment can result in the poor well-being of society. Additionally, it argues that numerous deaths can be reported due to recklessness by the ministry of health. This source is credible because the authors have indicated the list of references for their work. This article is reliable since it is a chapter in ACM (Association for computing machinery) conference proceedings, and the authors have included credible citations and a list of their references.

It is ethically complex to ration healthcare resources because it requires deliberate choices that fair procedures should guide. This write-up is helpful to my research focus because it reminds medical workers of their moral practices even in times of crisis. It will also help in the issue of regulating the supplies which affects the patients’ individual lives and expresses societal values. People’s needs are endless, including medicines, but the scarcity of resources is a reality. This source is reliable since it is current and the authors are experts in the medical field. Moreover, it is a peer-reviewed journal, thus making it more credible.
