Background
There are factors that led to the students to choose CUW as the study institute. Most of these factors include: campus safety the university has bens en to be a safe place for the students to go and learn. This means that with safety then the students felt that it was important for them to choose this university as an environment for their study. (David, 1998).
Another indicator for safety ness of the school is the nationality demographic where there is an indication that there are many students who come from different countries to go and get education in this university. This means that these students like the university environment and mainly on safety part therefore they do not have any fear as long as they are in this university. Another factor is tuition fees that the students are supposed to pay is not very high this means that this institution covers both the poor and rich in that the students from all the races are able to get education that is required. Therefore it does not exclude any group of people as long as a student is bright to get information that is given by there teachers. The fees is an important factor that has to be considered so that they have many students therefore from the survey then there is an indication that the impression that these students have for the school will show that they are not charged high fees that can not be affordable. The university is seen to be a place that has a good line of job opportunities in that after a student has completed studies then one is like to get job in the labor market more easily as compared to other places. This means that the school will have many students because they view that after there studies they will get what they require that is a good job so that they can have better lives. Therefore with high education then it is likely for a person to get jobs in the labor market and mainly the well paying jobs are readily available for learners or those who have completed there education up to high levels. That is why there are many female students who are graduates as compared to men because they are ready to work in best places in their countries. (David, 1998).
This means that due to competition that is great in the labor market then the females have seen the need to strive hard so that they get jobs like the males. Another factor is school facilities this will mean that if the students have access to facilities then they will be able to get education that is of standard in that if they are with all facilities like labs then practical will be easy and this will lade to high grades that will lead to better education that will enable this student to have access to what he or she is in need of in life. This will mean that a student should have selection of a school that will provide the facilities that are important so that they get the education that is of standard to assist them in their learning. Without facilities then the students will waste a lot of time going to get facilities from other schools which will lead to poor performance for such students therefore in order for the students to save time and do their work well then they have access to facilities that will assist them in taking their practical and other assignments that are provided to them by their teachers. Therefore this university has many facilities that assist the students to get whatever is required and they do this through assistance from their teachers and mainly during their free time. English requirement a student who likes to use English will choose a school that provides this subject this will mean that this student will not find it hard to enter in a school that has English been taught and this will mean that such a student will choose that school.
Key findings
There were about 80% of international students who received information of university through recommendations. Over half of the students were attracted to the university due to quality education. In tuition there were about 82% students who were consulted and therefore the tuition was fair to all. The school rank which was 69% was an important factor to be considered. Campus safety which was about 62% was important as the students could not learn in a place that is not safe. Housing was 56% and was also important consideration to take, dining was 38% , small class size was 61%, school facilities were 73%, English requirement was 82%, job opportunities was 78%, entertainment was 59%. These were the factors that students considered before they chose the school. There was also about 62% good impression of university and it showed that the students still were satisfied with the university therefore they chose it.
Suggestions
The students have provided suggestions so that changes can be made in several areas this will mean that there is need for more work opportunities, improved technology, more activities, need for more information about job opportunities, need for larger library, more connections with other schools and on campus housing for international schools. These suggestions should be put in place so that they can have better recommendations attached to them leading to more students in this university. There is need to keep counselors informed about the university this will be in terms of tuition, school rank, safety, small class site and school facilities that are available so that the counselors can know exactly why the school is important for learning. The students have seen the need of this university because of the academic quality that is provided in that the school is able to ensure that they give quality education that will lead to better jobs in the labor market. (David, 1998).
Conclusion
The students have had different views on changes that have to be made and the factors that have lead them to have this university as a study institution, this means that what the international students have suggested should be put in consideration so that the school can have many students.
