For this paper, I have selected HonorHealth Scottsdale Shea Medical Center, which is located in Scottsdale, AZ. The organization has earned its credibility through the Magnet Recognition Program and has continuously proved its eligibility for this elite status for more than a decade (“Find a Magnet organization,” n.d.). The hospital has a strong local presence and clearly outlines and follows its statements. The HonorHealth hospital’s values are innovation, collaboration, accountability, respect, and empathy (“Mission, vision, and values,” n.d.). The essential part of the hospital’s statements is its focus on supporting the local community and improving people’s well-being. HonorHealth strives to continuously modernize its services, which is apparent through its values and vision as the organization prioritizes innovations to achieve that goal (“Mission, vision, and values,” n.d.). The hospital is clear in its priorities, which put this facility on the path toward perfecting its mission.
HonorHealth is recognized by the American Nurses Credentialing Center for its performance. Its Magnet status implies that the organization does not only fit into federal regulations and requirements but also has an extensive structure of nursing personnel who are highly skilled in managerial and medical skills (“Eligibility criteria,” n.d.). HonorHealth’s statements reveal how the hospital’s nurses and specialists continuously improve their skills to keep themselves to the best of their abilities. The philosophy of this facility ensures that its employees possess the knowledge of the latest developments in medicine and have access to modern technologies, putting HonorHealth on the map of organizations with Magnet status.
