Introduction

This particular problem explains how the management structure is established and how it should suit people who are there.

Body

It explains the problems and solutions which we always have in our organizations. In this context, the main theme here is how some organizations do always operate with the organization’s missions contrary to what always appears in the mission statement.

Conclusion

The organization structure should always be very clear and there should be room for expansion for new ideas to come in.

This particular case study is talking about a woman who was very much ambitious with the kind of work she joined. She joins a particular company to create and develop these ideas, the company CEO assured her that the black hole would prove otherwise. Later as she was still moving forward with her marketing strategies, she felt very much disappointed by the collaboration and even the hierarchical style of leadership since the organizational culture was not very promising. The woman was very much betrayed by those symbols which she had been warned about.

One of these characteristics of the organizational culture is that every business has its unique way or sense of place that businesses or organizations generate through ways of running its operations and also the ways of communicating about it.

To this particular organization, the organizational culture is indeed not very perfect even if you look at the way people communicate especially from the top management to the most junior. We find that the culture of the organization is that after the weekly on any other meeting, the employees have to wait for the CEO the big man so that all initiatives, ideas, and even proposals come to a grinding halt i.e. nothing moves forward until big man has given it an approval. The organization does not implement the ideas very first but instead keeps on piling them up since even the products are all still old and no improvement on the idea of looking into producing or introducing other products.

Another thing is that the company is operating contrary to its vision because it promises to be providing the best to its customers, but not really since there is no improvement on the products, all are old. The mission states that it will offer professional improvement programs, but the woman was trying to even improve and be creative the company did not care about that. Communication in the company is still not effective; the woman had arranged all the proposals about the business strategy but needed to communicate first with someone who is far so that she could present that business proposal to him. This shows how the organization is not well prepared to tackle such issues.

The rules here are tough since the protocol is to be followed even if time is being wasted since the black hole is to come very clear from the top management (i.e. the CEO) for things to run smoothly. Secondly, it is only some specific people to handle certain issues, not even somebody else who is acting as an assistant can assist when there is no senior person. The hierarchical style of leadership is prevailing here since there is very little input from the organizational members.

Something also to be added here is that implementation cannot be done alone until there is collaboration since she could not move forward to implement the proposals. Unfortunately, she found it very rough because she was not able to handle the issue as required since communication had to wait.

To handle any conflict, one has to identify, the conflict itself, the cause of a particular conflict, and finally how one can solve such a conflict. The first one has to know the structure of the organization, the number of employees, and the roles of each person in an organization. First of all, communication should be always available to avoid such conflicts in an organization. There should be good communication link in all the departments (top management to the junior management)

To reduce conflicts, one has to check on the hierarchical leadership such that all the decisions can be made easily. It is not necessarily that all the decisions have to come from the top but it can even be delegated for making to be very easy and also make the business deals be made effectively. So anybody who has been given the authority can decide without wasting much time.

Some alternatives can help to curb some conflicts especially in helping the emergencies which might arise when some people are not there (i.e. the top people who make big decisions). There should be several meetings by the staff and the leaders to help them collaborate and incorporate ideas and even to air out some of their views so that they can be solved very easily without many delays

To solve and also to avoid such conflicts, there should be very clear rules which all the employees must get conversant with and understand very clearly so that he/she can avoid breaking or misunderstanding them. These also make work very easy all the time so that there no wastage of time by the old staff to the new ones who are entering the organization for the first time.

There recommendations to be added like, by ensuring that every employee is very qualified for any job he/she is absorbed for (i.e. if he/she is an accountant he/she should be fully qualified and very quick in operating his/her duties without conflict. There should be the delegation of duties since all the works cannot be operated by only a few individuals since work sometimes becomes very many and to avoid much error in work, one has to work also with time and others to operate other jobs at times.

Verbal communication here is always done especially when people are in a meeting. This has helped the company to manage agreements and also brought guys together at every time. This also improves the relationship among the staff. This has also hindered the organizational structure since one cannot communicate with the one who is very far. It has even delayed the business transactions very much. We have also nonverbal which is through the telephone, this has made it very easy to communicate with someone whom you cannot see but can understand. It has hindered the link between the top management with the junior staff and in several operations.

I want to suggest to the main character that, she should first understand her profession and like it before anything else since it is through this profession that she earns her living and hence should not underrate it. The character should understand that in all whatever one is doing there are the ups and downs which one has to face as he/she is operating his duties. These also depend on one’s carrier and also the profession, that one should observe the professional ethics since they provide a very broad elaboration on how one can guide his/her profession effectively.

The character should not get tempered especially when she did not get what she was expecting. This will make her persevere in whatever she is engaged in and this will make her change and cope with any difficult situation. (Marian &Astrid 2009)
