Lead generation is a process of identifying the potential clients of a business’s products and services. It is a marketing strategy that helps to increase an interest of new costumers by various channels, such as blog posts, live events, and coupons. For effective work of lead generation, there is an API system which is an acronym for Application Programming Interface. This provides a platform where users can access the data, communicate with each other and interact with external software (MuleSoft, n.d.). Lead generation process applies the API system to stimulate people’s interest in a product or service.
One of the great ways to explain how lead generation works with the API system is through social media platforms, such as Facebook and Instagram. Each time a user access to the social media, it uses the API system. Business entities can use such platforms to target the potential customers via applying some visuals, interesting content about a product or service, or any other marketing methods. The first impression with a brand and brand awareness processes usually take place in social media platforms, increasing people’s acquaintance with the brand (Kadas, 2019). The API system allows targeting of people to attract more clients for the business structures.
Overall, due to abundance of information in the modern world, it becomes difficult to apply traditional marketing methods to increase sales. Therefore, lead generation that is the process of capturing the interest of potential costumers applies the API system to ensure the flow of customers. Social media platforms are the main implementation area of the lead generation as it involves greater number of people and help to attract clients via the eye-catching content.
