Introduction
Attending college should be everyone’s top educational goal to improve their knowledge and skills because it allows students to consider their potential career paths. How their academic interests and passions intersect, their learning experience in higher education is extremely valuable. Specifically, an unwillingness to learn can have repercussions that were not intended for it (De Wit et al. 35).
Why Students Stop Studying
Lack of Ambitions
A lack of aspiration and objectives in life can prevent a person from achieving professional and personal fulfillment in various spheres, as demonstrated by both my own experience and the experiences of others who gave up on their education. A college or university education opens up a world of possibilities for its graduates, which can dramatically change their lives, as higher education opportunities are significant factors in the socialization process of individuals. Because I did not have a clear picture of my professional or personal future, I did not place significant importance on my academic endeavors.
Perception of Education in the Social Environment
Social interaction at various levels has influenced my decision to continue my education. They have always been attached to the value of education because of its significance. The decision to quit school at a tender age makes one vulnerable to poverty due to unemployment. They were taking a significant gamble by venturing independently in search of employment.
Youth’s Need for Social Support in Career Building
One may not be emotionally or psychologically ready to deal with major life decisions and take responsibility for one’s own life (De Wit et al. 41). It is unreasonable to quit school early because finding a prestigious job at a young age is challenging. Consequently, dropping out of school at that age is not recommended.
Conclusion
To summarize, school is more than just a place to learn facts and figures; it is also a place to learn how to behave in society and weigh the benefits and drawbacks of various options before deciding. Educational institutions bear the primary responsibility for preparing students for entry into the workforce. Education fosters communication and serves as a compass for the growth of communities.
