Platforms for new media have emerged as significant spaces for both social and political interaction and they have gained recognition for their advanced aspects, on the one hand. This is because they have tremendous mobilizing capability, improve good governance, and challenge established media practices that typically marginalize voices with less influence from major social and political conversations. Due to its capacity to reach previously inaccessible groups and spread information to them, the new medium has had a lasting impact on how individuals interact and has now become an integral component of their daily lives. It has also increased international consciousness among the general public. A fantastic example of the new medium in action is the Amazon Forest fire since It was only one post that began the news which quickly appeared in everyone’s newsfeed across various social media platforms, keeping everyone up to date on the situation there proving the new medium is a very powerful tool.
Posters, radio, commercial television, and other types of conventional media are examples of long-established forms of advertising. Businesses have depended on these techniques for years. These platforms can be quite efficient, and for numerous companies, they cover all aspects of the marketing spends. Traditional media has the drawback of requiring a big advertising budget. Due to this and the growing acceptance of new media, which includes internet-based promotion such as popup adverts, companies are beginning to expand their promotional approaches to incorporate less conventional channels as well.
Contrary to popular belief, conventional and new media are not obliged to compete with one another. One’s advertising effort can potentially be strengthened more than ever by combining these media. Both traditional and new media can be complementary to each other and both can be very important. Since companies logically desire a technique to more effectively target customers, due to a world that is becoming more and more digital, new media has evolved to satisfy the demands of businesses. Ones best option is to use both old and new media in order to communicate with the broadest audience at an efficient recurrence. Both are advantageous to businesses since they both have significant benefits over one another.
