The examination of leadership scholarship and the expected program outcomes was extremely beneficial for determining my ability to put the acquired knowledge into practice. It showed that experience is the key to mastery of the discussed concepts; meanwhile, the process of gaining it is a complex initiative that should be guided by specific objectives. In my case, they include managing change, improving digital acumen, enhancing the skills allowing to lead virtually, developing strategic thinking, and building partnerships.
Among the mentioned tasks, the first three steps seem most critical for increasing my personal efficiency within an organization. Thus, flexibility, which is the key to coordinating people’s responses, thinking, and actions, is ensured through the ability to manage change when implementing new strategies for their efficiency (Landin, 2017). It should be complemented by digital acumen because the timely interpretation of extensive data corresponds to better outcomes of projects. In addition, leading virtually will underpin the above considerations by guaranteeing my capability to keep up with the continuously evolving environment. These aspects are accompanied by the necessity to work on developing strategic thinking and building partnerships. The former will help me effectively plan further innovations when discussing them with colleagues. In turn, the latter will be advantageous for including all stakeholders in the regular operations of the company.
To summarize, the identified areas for improvement can be combined under the principles of flexibility, which is a condition guaranteeing the success of present-day businesses in the long run. They include the attention to people, their effective participation in achieving common goals, and the possibility to benefit from technological advances and digital ability. Thus, it can be concluded that the application of the above ideas to my development as a leader will be helpful in building a favorable working environment aligned with shifting needs.
