Restaurant Manager
Purpose
The Restaurant Manager will ensure efficient and effective operations of the restaurant and ensure profitability.
Responsibilities
He / She will be responsible for monitoring and controlling restaurant activities, setting budgets, planning, resolving disputes, hiring and firing of staff, and reporting to the owner.
Reporting Relationship
He / She will be reporting directly to the owner of the restaurant.
Skills, Qualifications, and Experience
Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills, Ability to work under pressure in teams. HND of hospitality management is required and five years experience in restaurant management.
Assistance Restaurant Manager
Purpose
The Restaurant Manager will ensure coordination of business operations and high levels of customer service.
Responsibilities
He / She will be responsible for monitoring and controlling restaurant operations and in the absence of the restaurant manager take on managerial responsibilities. Record delivery orders and ensure coordination between responsible individuals. Also to customers’ checkouts and billing.
Reporting Relationship
He / She will be reported to the restaurant manager.
Skills, Qualifications, and Experience
Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills. HND in any discipline is required and two years experience in restaurant management (Andrews).
Head Bartender
Purpose
Head Bartender will ensure efficient and effective operations of the restaurant bar, stock replenishment, and implementation of the bar activities plan. Also to manage records and check-outs and tips.
Responsibilities
He / She will be responsible for monitoring and controlling bar activities, adherence to budgets, plans, and filling up any gaps that may arise. Provide training to bartenders.
Reporting Relationship
He / She will be reporting directly to the assistant manager.
Skills, Qualifications, and Experience
Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills, Ability to work under pressure in teams, and should have excellent knowledge of operating restaurant bars. A minimum college education is required and 5-6 years of experience is essential.
Bartenders
Purpose
Bartenders will ensure that customers are served drinks in the best possible manner.
Responsibilities
He / She will be responsible for serving drinks, maintaining cleanliness, and engaging with customers.
Reporting Relationship
He / She will be reported to the head bartender.
Skills, Qualifications, and Experience
Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills. No qualification and experience is required.
Head Server
Purpose
Head Server will ensure efficient and effective operations of the dining area and takeaway section.
Responsibilities
He / She will be responsible for monitoring and controlling dining and take away activities, maintain records, training servers, and resolving disputes
Reporting Relationship
He / She will be reported to the assistant manager of the restaurant.
Skills, Qualifications, and Experience
Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills, Ability to work under pressure, and should have excellent knowledge of the recipes served. Two years of experience as a floor manager.
Servers
Purpose
Servers will serve food and drinks at tables and ensure that the best customer service is delivered.
Responsibilities
He / She will be responsible for taking orders and serving foods and drinks. Delivering bills and receiving amounts and tips from customers.
Reporting Relationship
He / She will be reported to the head server of the restaurant.
Skills, Qualifications, and Experience
Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills. No prior qualifications and experience are required.
Head Chef
Purpose
Head Chef will ensure efficient and effective operations of the kitchen and quality of food served.
Responsibilities
He will be responsible for introducing new recipes, making recommendations for menus, planning, and budgeting kitchen requirements, hiring and firing kitchen staff, controlling, and monitoring activities.
Reporting Relationship
He / She will be reporting directly to the assistant manager.
Skills, Qualifications, and Experience
Strong cooking, managing kitchen and problem-solving skills, Ability to work under pressure in teams, and excellent knowledge of different recipes. 10 years of experience is a must.
Line Cooks
Purpose
Line cooks will ensure assistance to head chef and perform daily activities and maintain cleanliness.
Responsibilities
He / She will be responsible for performing daily kitchen activities and ensure that food is served well.
Reporting Relationship
He / She will be reporting directly to the assistant chief.
Skills, Qualifications, and Experience
Strong kitchen and cooking skills. No previous qualification is required. Experience of 2 years is a must.
