Coaches are those people who make great pains for the purpose of success achievement by those whom they train. This is why nurturing team spirit within a team is one of the main goals which a couch follows in his sport program. Team is understood by a coach as an integral part of life. In this respect Weinberg & Gould (2007) point out the excluding significance of the team for promotion of two main prospects, such as competition and collaboration. This idea is supported throughout major psychologists in terms of effectiveness of such approach to the idea of coaching. Team-building is a process which needs constant cooperation of all members including it. Social support according to Gill & Williams (2008) social support is made out to be similar to the closest surroundings of an individual which also presupposes a concept of acceptance and belonging to some group of people. In this case social support should be reckoned with the team-building in sport activities. Moreover, it should be an important constituent of a team’s image. It is not surprising that wholeness of a team is a great power which can make the competitors fear or even nervous. Psychology of such approach in sport is defined due the idea of prevalence of such states of mentality in a person. Moreover, professional coaches do not ignore this approach and even make it develop in each member of a team and in a team on the whole.
It is vital for team to have a mere cohesion, so that to improve the expectations of those who are willing to see a real competition and victory of their team. Members of a team are considered to share the space when providing tournaments or when being in one room or somewhere in training camp (proximity). Also players try to make themselves united in ideas by means of some distinctive features (distinctiveness). It concerns the changes in appearance being similar in each player. Such steps are undoubtedly help to direct players on positive results and on such victories which can shift any expectation. Unity and right attitude with correct motivation are those factors which are predominant for coaches, in order to make their teams succeed.
Seven types of social support are those parameters which intend a team to develop their self esteem and inner motivation. Listening, Emotional, and Emotional Challenge support are those movers of the team which determine the psychological approach on the initial stage of team’s success. This tool is necessary for making team able to receive information and intentions from their surroundings and a coach, particularly, in time. Reality Confirmation, Task –Appreciation, and Task-Challenge support are those psychological mechanisms highlighting a deserved attention of one team member toward another, in order to encourage and show the difference. Personal –Assistance support presupposes the idea of the paramount significance of the team and its wholeness. This approach also outlines that teammates are like brothers and sisters and they are related with strong intentions to follow the general idea to win.
