Introduction
The politics of Europe deals mostly with the continuing issues of politics of Europe as a continent. This is one of the continents found in the world hence it has its own politics of democracy which can be different from one state to another. This is one of the continents which is said to be more different from the rest of the continents in the world and this is to reference to the long history of the continent plus the occurring modern day trades which are seen to happen in the country leading to the political unity within the European states. A more democratic Europe in this case can be taken to mean a situation whereby all its citizens can have a more say over all that happens in the state. For example, you will find that all those decisions which are made by the democratic states of Europe can be more visible to all citizens of the country. All these decisions can then be understood to all the citizens hence in a position to try and monitor them. It is then due to the modern day trades which have led to so many differences between Europe politics and religious groups since most of the religious groups in this case can be seen as against these modern trades since some of them are leading to immoral behaviors in the society but these religious groups are so much against them. (Moyser, 2000).
Hoe democratic Europe should deal with religious challenges posed by the religious groups
Romania is one of the democratic states in Europe which has faced so many challenges from the religious groups. An example of these religious groups is Romanian Orthodox Church. It is one of the religious groups which are anti-democratic and a nationalist discourse. The church in this case have expressed their many concerns on the religious groups been involved in the activities of the government something which the democratic state in this case is against. It was during the collapse of the communist in the eastern block that is seen to have led in to a more liberating event hence marking the rise of the new central Eastern Europe. It was during the communist dictatorship that you could see so many sacrifices of human life hence it was during this period which saw the burying of the communist dictatorship so that people could have a democratic government whereby all people could be involved in the making of the many decisions which would lead to the growth of the country. Romania country in Europe is one of the countries during the 20th century which faced a lot of communist dictatorship hence many people thought that it was after the burying of this dictatorship the country will become a democratic state since the human sacrifice was one of the most sacrifices which were highly involved in attaining of its freedom and freedom from human oppression. This is one of the bad governments this country ever had since it was during this particular time when there were so many immortals. Romania is one of the countries which are seen to be far behind in attaining of this transition of democracy hence so many corruptions is so much evident here. So the religious groups in this case are said to be very much against the modern ways of the country which has led to so many immoral behaviors say corruption in the country. This is seen as one of the political challenges to the democratic Europe and hence it is due to this fact then that the country in this case should involve the religious groups in the government activities. This is because its only through involving these religious groups the country will be in a position to live more uprightly hence solving the many issues of corruption which are said to be associated with the government. If the right members of the public are introduced in the government, then you will find that the government activities will be run so well. This is because these countries do not show any democracy at all and this can be referenced since the Maastricht Treaty in the year 1991, the European nations in this case have been developing in the wrong direction and this is why most of the religious groups are said to be against this form of government. (Moyser, 2000).
Another most fundamental idea about the societal development and this is traced back in the 20th century was the issue of secularity as these countries tried to modernize. This issue was very much misplaced hence leading to so many religious groups to be against this idea. It was after the Second World War when religious faith is seen to have declined so much and this was as a result of the technological development and modernization. So in this case, one of the main tenets of modernization theory is that the societies in this case would secularize and this was due to the modernization of these countries. The theologians from the different religious groups in this case tried to fight for the rise of secularism but they seemed to loose the battle. So the issue of the rise of secularism is one of the ways which has led to political challenge by most of the democratic countries in this case. This is because these religious groups tend to believe that secularism will lead to immoral societies hence it is one of the factors which will lead to wearing of religious faith. So the government in trying to deal with such challenges, it should incorporate the religious doctrines by these religious groups and also try to involve them in the many activities of the country. This is because democracy in this case is taken to mean public been involved in the many decisions which are made by the government. Its interaction with most of the political issues over the medium term can be seen as very much imperative, carrying a seminal and serious message of the societal resurgence plus also the renewal in relation to the economic and the political leaders in this case. (Bruce, 2000).
Religious fundamentalism is also another challenge by the religious groups. This religious fundamentalism which is also a Christian fundamentalism is a religious movement which is seen to have arisen in the 20th century and it was common among the conservative evangelical Christians. These people were seen to be against the modernism which had arisen in the European countries hence wearing most of the Christian beliefs. From the years 1970, this religious fumentalism has been applied by mass media to describe and also account for the religious and political developments around the globe. It is mainly applied by the conservative evangelicals inside the protestant denominations ion the early years of the 20th century. This religious fumentalism is even applied in most of the religious groups in the democratic states as a way of trying to express their religious freedom and also freedom from expression by the communist form of government which was so much evident in these countries before they realized their democracy. (Melanie, 2006).
Religious federalism has had a lot of impacts and this can be evident in the fundamentalist doctrines which are within the moral and social issues revolving in many contemporary countries and religious groups. So in this case the initial defensiveness of the struggling religious groups is seen to have developed in to a political offensiveness since this fundamentalism was seen to have altered the political and also the social realities of the state relations with the members of the society. The rulers were seen to have performed corruptly so it was with the rise of the religious fundamentalism which would lead to the wearing of the corrupt behaviors by these politicians. So this was seen as a political challenge to the democratic European countries and hence would need to develop a way of trying to solve this problem. The rulers since most of them are seen to be more secular, the religious leaders in this case would use the religious readings and texts to try and challenge most of these secular leaders hence providing a threat to them. So in trying to solve this problem, the solution in this case can be seen in having a stronger European nation plus the idea of the European cooperation. A more secular government which is not God fearing would lead in to a curse from God hence the need to God fearing leaders who should be involved in the development of the country. If such leaders are then involved, then it would mean that the immoral behaviors say corruption would eventually end with so many people who are said to be involved in the making of the various decisions to the government. The relationship between the state, religion and society would try to solve the many religious challenges which are imposed by these people. This is the national setting which the democratic government should have. The religious role in politics in this case can be seen as been influenced by the specific kind of state plus the society’s relationship that it can obtain from a given historical conjuncture. It is through its historical conjuncture which can lead to a growth of a particular religious movement and the state at large. (Watson, 2003).
It is only through working as a triad in the government activities that would help the democratic states in Europe to deal with the many political challenges which are influenced by these groups. This is because its only through working together with the three parties as can be shown in the diagram which will try and help these countries to fully develop. This is what democracy is all about but not by only few secular leaders who should be involved in making certain decisions. People should have their own freedom of expression through been allowed to make their own decisions in the country matters. (Watson, 2003).
Conclusion
The Democracy of any country should be very much important. This is because its through democracy you will tend to find that people will be free to make their own decisions which will lead to the growth of the country.
