An effective nursing career management does not start with writing one’s resume. Moreover, it does not end with finding a job (Yoder-Wise 177). It is a continuous procedure in which the nurse incessantly learns about his or her individuality and the nursing career. Partaking in this process will help the nurse select the best options (Yoder-Wise 179). Proper utilization of leadership skills will help the nurse throughout the process of getting ready for what he or she might like to do in the future. It is essential to determine the skill set that is to be developed (Yoder-Wise 179). The most successful leaders continually assess their careers and search for ways to find out more about themselves and probable prospects. The nursing career starts when an individual decides to join a nursing institution. From that moment, all of the interactions assist the nurse in learning more about himself or herself and the gratifying career of nursing (Yoder-Wise 201). The knowledge that comes with each of those experiences will help the nurse decide which way to go. The more the future leaders know about the individual and professional objectives, the more willingly they will agree to take the positions that are right for them.
