Introduction

Optimism can shape who we are. It affects our attitudes, feelings, and thoughts. To succeed in life, it’s good to incorporate optimism in our daily thinking and activities since it’s good. It can change your life from bad to good. Optimistic thinking refers to turning negative thoughts into positive thoughts, and healthy aspects of living. You find that the life we are living today is full of so many hurdles and we need to make certain decisions that are supposed to be positive to succeed in life. Disappointments can be seen as a bump in the road, new challenges, or catastrophes and hence as a result we need to think positively to overcome these challenges.

You need to choose not to let it eat at your soul. You find that when these great hurdles come our way, it is with the help of an optimistic view which will help us sit down and put our feelings into writing. Certain steps can help us think optimistically. (Bandura, 1986).

Some steps to thinking optimistically

We should stop seeing things as dead ends. We should be in a position to overcome these burdens with the best opportunities which are available. We should always think in a way of we can do it no matter the challenges. We should also be in a position to release our emotional trauma at the correct time and stop bottling feelings since this can lead to stress. As a result, one needs to be in a position to attempt those hurdles.

Should also quit from been an emotional spectator by flexing and expressing our emotional feelings. We should be in a position to even attempt the most unpleasant ones. Happiness in one’s life can be achieved by properly mediating with others i.e. chatting with people, inspiring ourselves in a sense that you should always see yourself as an achiever and not a loser, by acknowledging your accomplishments, and lastly by making a conscious choice to increase your happiness.( Bouffard, Boiusvert, Vezeau, and Larouche, 1995).

Effects of optimistic thinking on people’s success

Optimistic thinking is the key to our success. It is the key to success because since life is full of so many challenges, when we think optimistically, then we can overcome the challenges. It’s through optimism that we are in a position to enjoy our daily life. For instance, in one’s job, it’s through optimistic thinking that you are in a position to bring so much joy in your work and excitement. It helps you to maximize your capability at your job and bring out more fun in your life.

Many people will be in a position to see you as a role model in the sense that they can see your success, the real you, and many people would like to meet you. Your mental attitude is a contributor to the real and successful you. You only need to control your mind and start thinking positively and this will lead to your success. (Sheldon, and King, 2001).

It’s through optimistic thinking that people are in a position to define who they are. We are in a position to understand our personality in the sense that, when we understand ourselves, we are in a position to correct our mistakes hence leading to our success. Our personality is made by several components and one of them is mental composition. When we set our minds into positive activities, we find that we are in a position to overcome certain challenges in life for instance certain obstacles which might block us from achieving success. Some of these challenges may include personal differences, in capabilities to do something among others. (Sheldon, and King, 2001).

By meditating with others, you also find that we are in a position to achieve our success. This can be shown in a case whereby, when you interact with other people, you are in a position to share so many ideas which can help shape your future. People have different knowledge and capabilities in different areas, so by interacting with the correct people, you are in a position to think positively concerning your future. By also interacting with counselors, you also find that you are in a position to get the correct advice and start thinking on the best side. Also when you are undergoing stress, you find that through chatting with people, you are in a position to overcome those problems and hence succeed in life. (Schneider, 2001).

In education, it’s through optimism that we are in a position to excel in our studies. We are in a position to set our minds on achieving even the most ambiguous questions hence leading to success. We are in a position to say that I can do it, and then it’s automatic that you will be in a position to qualify for that activity. So it’s important to always think positively since it’s through this that we are in a position to see things in succession. (Schneider, 2001).

Conclusion

Optimism is vital in our lives. Optimism involves seen things on the positive side. It involves setting our minds into thinking only on the best side. This is because the life we are living in is full of so many challenges and it’s only through optimism that we are in a position to see things into success. Most of the people who have been in a position to succeed have applied optimism so much in their lives. It’s out of research that 70% of the successful people in most of our societies are who they are because of properly using optimism as a tool that can lead them to success in life. So to be in a position to succeed in life, let’s properly use our optimism well. Let’s always see ourselves as achievers and not losers. Let’s always see ourselves as we can do no matter the challenges.
