Introduction
Optimization of personnel is one of the most important components in the organization of the composition of employees of the enterprise both to increase labor productivity and reduce personnel costs. It is necessary to understand that this is a fairly complex process that requires a comprehensive, deep, and multifaceted assessment of the picture of the situation. In connection with the solution to the dilemmas and obstacles that have arisen, various methods and means are used to solve this issue. In this vein, methods can be employee activity analysis, outstaffing, outsourcing, employee leasing, and many others. At the same time, the means can be various auxiliary models. Thus, this report discusses the main features of the developed staffing model within the composition of a typical call center. Linear optimization analysis and discussion of the model are the key ideas to be considered in this paper.
Linear Optimization Analysis
The principles and concepts of “linear optimization” that the model possesses are indicated as follows. Primarily, it should be noted that the mathematical approach allows the maximum and most effective use of a wide range of possibilities with limited resources (Goh). The project consists of quantitative minimization and maximization of linear functions and variables under specific constraints. The presented tables contain both the largest and smallest values that allow one to compare and contrast the data obtained. In addition, the model offers the optimal solution to the problem through connections with certain numerical designations. In brief, the model demonstrates the possible ways of staffing employees on specific days while combining the quality of services and services provided and the competent burden on the employees themselves.
Discussion of the Model
The presented model has the following features, properties, and parameters. First of all, this model is presented in the form of a relational table, in which each element plays its key role and has a direct connection with other aspects. Rows and columns have unique values that reflect the essence of the problem solution. In addition, the table is not limited to hierarchical organization and data structure but is divided into several components, which facilitate orientation in the flow of information. Secondly, the model shows the key principles, such as the number of employees the company needs on regular weekdays and weekends and holidays and special holidays. Moreover, this project also includes those clarifications and notes when profiled and “ordinary” employees work on certain days. The presented data were created based on the analysis and synthesis of the obtained data on the quality and efficiency of the team and their workload. Such information will help the call center reduce “unnecessary” expenses and calculate a competent load on employees to provide quality services to customers.
Conclusion
In conclusion, the process of personnel optimization, regardless of the type and format of the organization, is rather complex and time-consuming. Based on the example of a call center, the presented model made some attempts to solve the problem of organizing the number of some employees on certain days. Therefore, with the help of linear optimization created a more optimal and competent staffing strategy based on the numerical data obtained and a systematic, integrated approach. The model itself is a summary of tables, where each piece of information is supplemented and interconnected.
