Different researchers have different points of view concerning organizational culture. Some of them are apt to think that each organization has its own culture, while others argue that organizations are cultures (Bolman & Deal, 2013).
Schein (as cited in Bolman & Deal, 2013 ) gives the following definition of this notion -“a pattern of shared basic assumptions that a group learned as it solved its problems of external adaptation and integration, that has worked well enough to be considered valid and therefore to be taught to new members as the correct way to perceive, think, and feel in relation to those problems” (p. 269).
Any successful manager should understand basic principles of organizational culture. A leader determines the behavioral patterns that have an impact on success of any organization. A leader should understand the motives and personal qualities of the members of a company. It is a leader who establishes organizational culture imposing his values on a group.
