Orlando Health Hospital’s (OHH) organizational values focus on people, quality, and community. The organization is committed to supporting and serving patients, employees, and team members in the people category. They offer healthcare services while caring genuinely about everyone involved in the process, prioritizing respect, kindness, and compassion. They listen to customers and make positive differences as their final goal. The values in the quality category ensure the organization never compromises on quality. Orlando ensures its team offers the highest quality care service all the time, using creativity and versatile teams in solutions. The community category comprises pride in serving the Orlando community, never forgetting the organization is community owned. A group of community members and doctors who also set the foundations for Orlando made the Organizational values. They understood the neighborhood and knew the problems affecting it before sitting down and formulating the values for the betterment of the people of Orlando. The values are clear for the community, quality of services, and individuals, all around respect, compassion, kindness, and commitment to the community.
Vision
The vision of OHH is “A trusted leader inspiring hope through the advancement of health” (Orlando Health, n.d). The founders created the organization in 1918 during World War I when the world was fighting the Spanish Flu. The organization was supported financially by dedicated medical doctors and community members (Orlando Health, n.d). Since then, the organization has operated within the vision and improved its performance significantly. Those who join the organization have to learn and adapt to the vision. The organization engages with the community to build trust and confidence, a cornerstone of any relationship. A good working environment is created so that employees enjoy working. It proved that this leads to increased positive outcomes in patients, communities, and collaborative research partners. The vision strengthens the communities by promising better health in the future.
Mission
The health mission of the OHH organization is “to improve the health and quality of life of the individuals and communities” (Orlando Health, n.d).
