A focus on the Government
- This project will focus on the government.
- It will be conducted by the Youth, Adult and Elderly Abuse Miracle Center.
- It is the duty of the government to protect the interest of its subjects regardless of their age, sexual orientation, race or religion (Burns, 2009).
- To ensure that the above goal is attained, the government always has set rules and regulation that control the actions of the producers and consumers (Mischel, 2008).
- This study will focus on consumer needs from the perspectives of the inhabitants of South Carolina and Ohio.
- Information from the various departments of the government will be required to provide the essential information that is required for the study.
- The Department of Mental Health consumers and/or providers for example will be useful in this study.
The government is the main body that controls the actions, procedures and regulations of a specific state.
This is mainly done to protect the rights and responsibilities of its subjects.
To ensure that equality and sanity is maintained, the government normally has some set rules and regulations that have to be adhered to.
These rules also apply in the sale of goods and services to protect the interests of the producers and consumers.
The government is made up of a number of departments.
These departments normally collect and store data from its subjects.
The department of Mental Health Consumers and Providers will provide the relevant information with regards to consumer behavior in the state.
Title of the Study
The Statement below represents the topic for this P-Plan Proposal:
- Youth, Adult and Elderly Abuse.
- The main aim of the project is to come up with possible solutions of reducing abuse at all stages of the human life.
- It has been the norm of the society to abuse fellow individuals for various reasons (Bass, 2010).
- According to (Liontos, 2010), abuse is the process by which an individual uses improper conduct for an ill motive against another individual with the hope of benefiting from the act.
- Abuse is non-discriminatory regardless of the age, sex, race or social status (Bateson, 2008).
- Abuse is also present in all the dimensions of life (Evetts, 2000).
- This includes education, business, religion, gender, race, ethnicity, politics and so on.
- Abuse is an immoral vice and should be prevented by all means.
The level of abuse in the world has been increasing at an alarming rate.
It is therefore a high time that a study should be conducted to come up with solutions to this predicament.
In the process of abuse, the abuser always hopes to benefit from his acts at the expense of the abused.
This can be seen in all the aspects of life.
Perhaps the earliest form of abuse that we have experienced in life is being bullied in kindergarten or elementary school.
Abuse has a huge impact on an individual. It leaves a psychological mark in the mind of an individual.
Unmet Needs and Sources of Information
- The following are the unmet needs that have led to the increase of abuse in our society:
- Low levels of education;
- Poor marketing strategies;
- Inappropriate laws, rules and regulation;
- Unfamiliarity of the law;
- Poor morals and standards.
- To gather relevant information for the study, it will be essential to conduct a literature review.
- The following sources will be used to provide relevant information for the study:
- Survey results;
- Expert opinion;
- External sources;
- Demographic sources.
As a result of the above factors, individuals are not aware of their rights with regards to abuse.
This leads to the continuous survival of the vice hence its passed on from one generation to the next (Kurtz, 2010).
Survey results from various studies that have been conducted in the state of Ohio with regards to various forms of abuse will be used.
Expert opinions from professionals and analysts will also be useful.
External sources like research papers, journal articles and other scholarly materials will also be used.
Demographic sources from censuses will also be essential.
Stakeholders
- A stakeholder is an individual who has interest or benefits from something (Adair, 2009).
- The main stakeholders of this study will be individuals from families in Ohio and North Carolina who have been victims of abuse.
- This includes men, women and children of all ages (Lamb, 2004).
- However to be specific, the following individuals are the stakeholders of the study:
- Children who have been abused by their parents
- Abused spouses;
- Abused employees;
- Abused consumers, retailers and producers;
- Abused officials.
- Through creation of awareness and empowerment, this study will curb the occurrence of abuse in Ohio, North Carolina and any other state in USA or the world in general.
Any individual of any age can be a victim of abuse.
It is due to this fact that individuals of all ages are the stakeholders of the study.
The above named individuals have been victims of abuse.
Abuse has affected them physically and/or emotionally.
The study will therefore make them understand what abuse is, their rights against various forms of abuse and means through which they can avoid abuse.
With their information, proper conclusions and recommendations shall be arrived at in order to bring the vice to an end.
