The quality of the services provided by the health care sector could be considered one of the major concerns of the modern health care sector. The fact is that the quality of life of a patient and his/her recovery depend on the efficiency of the provided care and approaches used to treat him/her (Details Do Matter! Medical Malpractice in Dubai, UAE 2015). However, there are numerous cases when the disregard of the basic norms and the disrespectful attitude towards the performance of certain duties result in the increased risk to patient safety (Van Leijen 2015). In this regard, it is crucial to introduce a certain monitoring system that will be able to control the functioning of health workers and guarantee their respectful attitude to their duties.

Besides, a national reporting system focused on the improvement of the healthcare quality and patient safety should also be implemented in Dubai. There are several reasons for this statement. Statistics show that in the UAE the number of fatal mistakes that result in patients deaths or significant deterioration of their state remains high (Bell 2014). For this reason, the reporting systems main task is the decrease in the number of medical errors and improved quality of the health care delivery. Its positive impact could be evidenced by the fact that organizations characterized by the implementation of similar monitoring system show better outcomes and have good rates of patients recovery (Kader 2013).

There are several crucial points that should be considered while implementing the given reporting system. First, it should be public for people to be able to obtain the important information related to the functioning of various health care organizations and also provide the information needed to make a certain conclusion (Allouz & Muhtadi n.d.). Under these conditions, patients will have an opportunity to impact the delivery of care and improve it. Additionally, health workers should also provide the information about their actions and main procedures used to help a patient to recover. Besides, to attain success and guarantee the objectivity of data, it could be collected with the help of certain monitoring equipment (Medical errors may go unreported n.d.). The credibility of the given information will obviously contribute to the improved outcomes and increased patient safety.

Finally, to guarantee the efficiency of the program and turn it into a powerful tool that could really alter the current situation, it is crucial to use this data as the credible evidence to the incompetence of certain workers and necessity of additional training. In other words, in case a program admits the lack or skills, experiences, and competencies needed to perform a certain task, a health worker should be removed until his/her competencies will be improved.

Altogether, the great potential of the given system could hardly be doubted. It will become an efficient tool in case its structure will be able to satisfy the basic needs. For this reason, it is possible to suggest the following pattern. First, the collection of data should be organized in all hospitals in Dubai. The monitoring will provide the information that will then come to a certain analytical department that will process it and provide the final result to the local authorities that should accept a certain decision related to the efficiency of a health care sector and the necessity of some alterations.

In conclusion, reporting system could help the health care sphere of Dubai to improve its functioning and provide high-quality care to its patients.
